It is best the Prince is charged with the offense of being a "vagabond and disorderly person" under the criminal code. The Prince was neither in control of the firearm nor can it be shown that he procured the security personnel to kill the Professor. Section 249 of the Nigerian Criminal Code is the best catch to put away the Prince.

This is really sad and painful. The Prince clearly didn't mean any harm. Village people are really strong. Celebration just turned to tragedy of immense proportion. Both the prince and the hunter who shot wrongly are in for a long ride with the law. Is the gun licensed? Is the one carrying it licensed to do so? These are some of the posers that will determine culpability. But it's a long ride for sure!

It could be linked to him.
like he ordered salute shot to the rest but ordered a target shot to a single. Then ordered mob action against the shooter to cover his track. That's what we called Mafia.

Adeoriokin possessed both material and social capital, positioning him as a potential future leader in his state.

His humility and charisma endeared him to many, but some felt threatened by his ascent.

Here's a strategy to impede his rise: appeal to his likable qualities, invite him to a nighttime meeting, and instruct him to park his vehicle in a secluded area. Enlist local vigilantes and instruct them to give him a grand entrance with gunshot salutes. Have one of the vigilantes demonstrate by firing into the dark close.

Keep a controlled mob at a distance to ensure the vigilante canā€™t present a plausible story about being misled into shooting into the dark alley.

Utilize your influence to prevent any hospital in the vicinity from admitting him. If someone attempts to bring him to a hospital, get someone to remind them of a fictional police report and emphasize the victim's influence, suggesting that the hospital would be held liable if he were to die. The public hospitals donā€™t even have the capacity, ā€œhe should end up dead in one of thoseā€.

As the plan unfolds, and he fortunately passes away, the police may invite you, but as a prince, you are likely to escape legal consequences. As it can lead to another Modakeke-Ife inter-community civil war. For the purposes of peace, proper investigations can be a cost.

With Adeoriokin out of the picture, those who less charismatic and socially incapable now have an opportunity without feeling threatened.

His immediate family abroad are afraid to come back to Nigeria to assess his estate for fear of their own safety. Those back home mourn their promising relative while ensuring they get ahold of his estate.
I totally reason along with you. This somehow look like a planned work. It seems the professor is a threat to some politicians because of his exposure and carriage, hence they looked for a way to eliminate him. Never trust a Nigerian politician, they are very wicked and are always ready to kill to attain any position.

Where is gun salute normally shoot? There is no case here, except they can prove that the Prince planned with the security to shoot directly at the victim and make it to look like an incident.

Apart from that there is no case here.

"vagabond and disorderly person", how can you prove that? On what ground is ordering your security guard to have a gun salute for your guest amount to be a vagabond and disorderly person?

Give me a case where a such judgment was passed for similar offence.

From prince of Ejigbo to prince of Ilesha prison. Promotion could be negative or positive.

The police did the right thing and I hope the usual way won't be followed because this is tricky. It looks more like an organized crime.

Our medical system is terrible in this country. People die from survivable gunshot wounds. Itā€™s now commonplace that I believe our doctors know nothing concerning such injuries. Sha, we balance the situation with our high birth rate. We go dey alright, last last.

Take a look at Paragraph (a)(I) and (d).
Taking paragraph (a)(I) first, the words "disorderly" or "indecent" are disjunctive and not conjunctive. Meaning a person can either be disorderly or indecent "in any public place". Would u say the Prince acted in an orderly manner? What is orderly about instructing security operatives to let off shots from firearms into the air. Is this behavior orderly?
Now look at Paragraph (d). Considering the results of the action of letting off shots and the Prof. being hit, followed by the mob action, would u say his action didn't cause a breach of public peace?
Sorry I returned home late and tayad
