This is really sad and painful. The Prince clearly didn't mean any harm. Village people are really strong. Celebration just turned to tragedy of immense proportion. Both the prince and the hunter who shot wrongly are in for a long ride with the law. Is the gun licensed? Is the one carrying it licensed to do so? These are some of the posers that will determine culpability. But it's a long ride for sure!
The hunter got wacked immediately.

NO, the prince should be jailed.

Gun safety, simple gun safety means that one should not fire a gun into the air or into the ground. Either way, what goes up or down will either come down or richochet off a hard surface and hit someone.

If jailing the prince would set an example, so that we don't have any more avoidable deaths, so be it.

Yes, we all going to die, but that does not mean that people should be careless.

The Prince should be tried for his crimes.
It was pre - planned.
The hunter was the alibi and the only surest plug to the truth
The hunter was used as a collateral damage.

Needless deaths. If the professor had known he would have remained far away from Nigeria much more that tragic event. If the overzealous prince had not asked them to shoot the poor security man would not have been bludgeoned to death.
His colleagues over there would now truly believe Nigeria is a warzone since their colleague who went home with his two legs somehow never returned.

Freak accident.

And seeing that he was hit on his leg. That shouldn't lead to death if properly managed. It appears the private hospital doesn't know how to manage gunshot wounds.

The leg can also be a fatal place for gunshot. Must have hit an artery.

Strange he passed on like that.

Meanwhile, take note that Ejigbo is in Osun State hence the write up should be corrected to ..an Osun Prince & not Oyo Prince as was stated in the write up. Thank you.

Before we could get him to the hospital, he had already lost so much blood and there is no good hospital in Ejigbo. He gave up at a private hospital in Ejigbo.

Not only was his shooting avoidable, but also his eventual death if he had been taken to a good hospital. Nigeria, may God have mercy on this country.

In the midst of crowd leaving leaving an occasion, a man with numerous people around him as entourage accidentally became a target of a gunshot that was to be shot in the air. grin
The Shooter who could shed more light on the accidental discharge was whacked immediately even when the person shot was still alive grin
There was no hospital good enough in ejigbo to treat a gun wound grin
The issue of police report is not an excuse because he could be attended to with the prince and king vouching for him or public explanations of the incident.
The prince arrest is only a formality to make it look like due process been followed. Na who die lose sha
If you are familiar with sicillian movies or mafia plots, you will easily deduced that this is a premeditated assassination

If the yeye prince doesn't mean any harm, why did he commanded the local hunter to release the gun. Why did the tug released the gun down instead of up. Why the gun in the first instance. They see the Doctor as a threat in the community. Yoruba people are enemies of progress. Full of petty petty jealousy. See the life they wasted. I am sure the matter will not go like that . It will generate interest from America government.

Celebration of What?.
Several decades on a stool
Yet no presence of a good medical facilities in
Ejigbo such a prominent ancient city
And you invited people to come celebrate

This is the way they had used
Village remote control to waste away
Their prominent sons and daughters.
Leading to the societal stagnation.
