NNPC just has around 488,000 bpd which they were using for crude swaps. Dangote at full capacity is 650000bpd.
If Dangote is importing petrol, Bloomberg who were first to see the receipts of the order would report to the world that it was petrol but they said crude. You are the one saying petrol because your influenza said so. Why should we reject Bloomberg's report and take the guesses of your political media influenza as truth?

You said full capacity okay, read your submission again, dangote is not yet at full capacity, Bloomberg didn't show us any receipts for the crude import, what the hell is happening here, what omockery is this, we now ended up importing crude, instead of piping crude as we were told, imagine the cost difference, it's transportation alone doubles local crude price, we were even begging India and some other asian countries to buy at reduced price, since we have glut of crude product, then the next we were hit with is the opposite, we are now importing blablah blue, meanwhile as at October 2023, our daily capacity is 1.7 million barrel per day, dangote's 650000 barrels per day at full capacity won't touch that, yet he's going abroad to import at almost two times the price we export, then he will refine and sell to retailers at what price, APC should stand one place, reasonam.

If Dangote import fuel to resell to Nigeria that is own lose as Nigeria won't be paying subsidy to Dangote so he should continue.

How will you see I tot your Igbo tribemen claim Dangote Refinery won't start operation till 2027 at the earliest, why are you now waiting for it to produce in 2024.

24SEVEN:

But Dangote claimed to have gotten from NNPc the sufficient quantity of crude to begin production. I'm yet to see 1truck of diesel leave the refinery.

So to you all foreign media speak the truth at all times.
You can prove their news is fake with your own evidence

Then what is the point of bringing up David Hundeyi's post? David Hundeyi spoke about Petroleum products importation and that's not what's happening. That doesn't even make any sense because nobody would invest 19 Billion dollars for a refinery only to use it as a storehouse for imported petroleum products. Why go through that stress?

Also, Dangote even right from 2019 in his interviews have made it clear he would not depend only on NNPC alone for crude. He would import crude. So you are wrong. The capacity of the refinery is 650 000bpd at full capacity. NNPC only has about 500,000bpd of crude and can only give Dangote 300,000bpd. So Dangote was always going to import crude.

Also, America exports and imports both crude and refined petrol. Even when we had working refineries (warri and PH), we still imported crude sometimes.

Dangote was built in a free trade zone. The end goal is to import crude from countries and sell refined crude to those countries. If they get 300,000bpd crude from Nigeria, then they allocate to Nigeria that worth of refined petrol.

Nigeria has 1.5million BPD not 500,000 Biko

NNPC has just 500,000. The rest belong to IOC's (Shell, Chevron, etc).

Out of the 1.7 million barrels per day, the likes of Chevron, Shell, Total, have the lion shell. So NNPC has just around 500,000bpd there.

This country is literally doomed and the biggest victims of the coming disaster are too stupid to even realise what is about to befall them.

This doom that you are calling on your family, I don't know your gain in it.

Dangote's refinery was supposed to ensure the full indigenisation of every aspect of Nigeria's downstream oil sector from refining to marketing of the finished petroleum products.

Remember, the key objective of the refinery is a 100% Nigerian controlled industry. So we should NOT be hearing ANYTHING about importing either fuel or crude by a refinery which was allegedly built to do the EXACT OPPOSITE.

Anyway, thank you for proving my original point about the average Nigerian's lack of a discernible IQ. You really gave me a good chuckle this morning.

So he shouldn't import raw materials because it's Nigerian?
Lol.
This online expertise we see everyday doesn't translate to reaI life else Nigerîà will be highly industrialized.

Dangote is a business man and crude is his raw materials so what happens if he relied only on Nigerian crude and Nigeria delta avengers start to disrupt crude production again? So he has to suspend production and be begging them. The good news is that we have the production line working in our country and the product will be available and cheeper as time goes. Govt can subsidized crude to him to refined for innocent and sell cheeper if they like. Even as expensive as it is, imagine no dangote or locally produced cement, how much will the imported cement sold for by today?
