Who's going to enforce the minimum wage? Is it the government that is always complaining that it is broke? Is it private companies who must justify wages with declining income and the challenging economy? Even if you are successful at pressuring private companies to pay such wages, what stops them from passing the costs to consumers who are also consumers of their products and services? In short, increasing wages without increasing profits is a fool's errand.....Ofutufete! |

The value of money is not measured by its volume, it's rather measured by its purchasing power. If our economy is stable, you dont need big amount as minimum wage to live well...The higher the minimum wage , the higher the inflation. As at today the CBN CANNOT give us the exact figure of total liquidity in circulation. |
