Give me a very good reason why I should.

Not after the likes of you have badly messed up the food thread with your negative energy.

You're wrong darling...very wrong! You expect me to be quiet when someone disrespects me just like you've been doing lately.

It doesn't work like that.

I'm so disappointed in you as well bcoz you're so biased and very sentimental. I see this is a common thing with you Nigerians and it's very harmful bcoz it prevents you from making right judgement.

It's annoying!

Larvae of a beetle that lives on the bark of dead palm trees.

In the 80s, there was one cartoon where a white boy met a village boy.
The village boy ate this thing and called it Wankuru-Wankuru...
Can't remember the name of cartoon anymore.
I think someone brought it up here on NL.

Yes, these are larva sourced from waned raffia palm tree which later metamorphosed to a kind of beetle found mostly in fresh palm wine. The Igbo name for this type of beetle is 'Akpakiri'. The other kind of larva is sourced from withered oil palm tree which metamorphosed to rhino beetle that you referred, Igbos call it 'Otugbu'. However, both are edible and nutritious.
it is called rhynchophorus, the one that metamorphosed to rhino beetle is called oryctes
