50b in one year? That can't be correct. In 2023, JAMB for cost 4700 Naira. For the purported 50b revenue, you must have 10m candidates. And we don't have that.
Prof Oloyede is a great man. A seasoned administrator and a game changer.

JAMB earns money from:
Jamb registration forms for both UTME & Direct Entry Candidates
Correction of names
Change of course/institution
Correction of birth
Jamb regularization
Admission letter.
Jamb result.
This happen all through the year.

What is the mandate of JAMB?
To make 50 billion or to provide access to quality education for Nigeria's young population who are currently not finding Jobs.

A vice president is celebrating the indirect taxing of minors and their parents for the benefit of an incompetence government regime. How much more stupid can we get in this country!

Jamb is now a major source of revenue, something that is not suppose to exist in the first place.

It is stupid to be boasting about revenue from JAMB. That's not the role of JAMB. They should not be charging more than their costs and their net revenue position should be zero.

Their job is to maintain admission standards for higher education.

Nigeria and misplaced priorities.

I am afraid how this jamb as a body under Prof. Oloyede helps the entrepreneur in this country. The body that supposed to give opportunities to young Entrepreneurs by giving access to individual business owners to be able to participate in the registration of candidates but only gives opportunities to the rich who have financial power to own and operate ICT/CBT center (Information has it that most of these Centres owned by jamb officials and some head of different government agencies. No evidence though). Most of these centers operate with adhoc staffs who have little or no knowledge of filling application and cause lot of mistakes in the cause of doing registration the same excuse jamb gave to deny small scale business centre of handling the registration.
Some candidates would have to travel from their town where no CBT centre down to another town or city because of registration.
Help me ask Jamb what is the essence of picking 4 choices of institutions when only first choice is being reckoned with during the admission process? Any attempt to go with your second choice of institutions still requires you to make change of such institution to 1st choice with compulsory payment of certain amount and they claimed its making money for government. This at the detriment of many parents.

JAMB should not be a revenue generating body. It is one of the signs of all things that are wrong with our country. The fees being charged should be reduced in the interest of the public. How many poor people are denied due to paucity of funds or have to sell their things just to register for JAMB UTME annually?

Ode, so JAMB exams should be conducted for free, if you dont have the money to study, just sit down jeje, No country around the world provides tertiary education for free. This is not a socialist society.
Mumu, I’m not saying it should be free and what’s even wrong with it being free with how God has blessed Nigeria. All am saying is it’s not right the way it feels like the main purpose of JAMB is revenue generation
