A recent survey by the Africa Polling Institute indicated that 69 per cent of Nigerians planned to relocate if given the opportunity. And our successive leaders are not ashamed of themselves? We're not at war, no natural disasters, abundant population and natural resources, yet the country looks nothing different from a country that has been in civil war for two decades |

Somebody will have 20 million and the next thing is to think about how to japa! Blacks need to be more creative and use their heads. I see a lot of people using tens of millions to open a barbing salon. How many heads u want barb? As though their isn't other farrrr more lucrative businesses. After u will say u went to school 2 Likes |

This is one of the best advice I must definitely agreed with that could stem the the tides of the increase in the exchange rate. You need to forward this to the clueless CBN governor page or BAT verified twitter page as they are both clueless and directionless on how to arrest the situation. Thumbs up for this great input. |

bennybuhari: Lie? How can it be lie when you have eyes or, are you blind? To compound issues, the governments of the UK and Canada (two of Nigerians’ favourite destinations) had rolled out new relocation policies, increased visa, immigration health surcharge, and language exam fees. |

emkz:God bless you, to add to it, no business entity trading in Nigeria, selling to the public should quote price of commodity in any other currency, except Naira. If you are hosting an event outside Nigeria as a Nigerian, you can use Nigeria as a target market, this is specifically to target the entertainment industry, I wonder why thousands of people will go outside Nigeria to go and watch a show hosted by a Nigerian living in Nigeria 1 Like |

OlujobaSamuel: And may God bless you too. The joy is that our policy makers are here to read and feel our pulse. In China, once anyone brings luxury items, they are taxed at the airport. They remove the labels before entering their country. If anyone carries his party outside Nigeria, use tax to collect government share once they arrive at the airport. Find a name to call the tax. As for entertainment, going outside the country on tour is not a bad idea. Nigerian artists can use the audience to bring such shows to Nigeria. Why can't we have month-long music festival in Nigeria like is done in Europe? You'd be shocked that people from Brazil, Cuba, Europe and Caribbean would pay to come. The way these people worship some of our music stars, many of us no send them like that. Many of them are in search of an identity and with the way Nigerians party, they'd have the experience of their lives and keep coming. I really wish the minister of arts, culture and creative economy understands this. 2 Likes 1 Share |

theredaddy: May God bless you too. Giving people dollars has never made sense to me. Since our people abuse it, make it scarce. You are travelling outside the country? I'd send the money to Travelex and give you a code. Use the code to collect your BTA at ay Travelex kiosk when you get to where you are going. |

Re: Weak Naira Slows Down Japa Rate by OlujobaSamuel: 10:36am On Feb 01 |
emkz:You are right. On the entertainment industry, I don't have issues with going on tour, I know it's to project the Nigerian culture, but what I have issues with is making Nigerians back home here the target audience instead of those in the country they want to have the tour 2 Likes |
