Why are the border still closed? When there are influx of excess foods it will surely make cost of foods to fall, after the low cost of foods then the govt will have the time to stabilize the economy Stabilizing the economy in hurry without putting the right thing in place is not sustainable This is how Tinubu removed the subsidy without studying the implications, even after three weeks of the removal a foresight leader would have reverse it back when it had been really telling on Nigerians Removal of the fuel subsidy turn many into a pauper and turn some elites into a more wealthy men. This is capitalism |

Nigerian leaders always follow IMF, and world bank for nyansh like clowns, IMF and world bank see us as mugu, I wonder why we always look up to them, when it has been since obvious that they are exploiting us. We need wise leaders that will cut off this neocolonialism. The dollar is a neocolonialisation tool. |

Paraman: If we all can tell ourselves the truth! No government in the world loves its citizens! And citizens do not love one another! What is dollar? Why do Nigerians raise it so badly? Why is the dollar a means of measuring the success of administration in Nigeria? 1. Nigerians depend much on foreign items: machines, cars, tools, food, clothings, meat, education, etc! 2. Nigerians believe that Western Civilization is still better! 3. Nigerians, most especially some tribes believe that importation is better than exportaton! All these factors are killing the Naira. Honestly, no better days ahead. All you need do is to stop all the enumerated above! Then let the Government help in fighting insecurity and reduce tax but should increase tax on all importations and the COT on domiciliary accounts! 1 Like |

Bismarck Rewane is not an economist, he hardly has an independent opinion contrary to whatever APC Government. He was among the yeye economists that okayed every single economic policy of Buhari that brought Nigeria down economically. He has resumed his job of largely misinforming people 1 Like |

Paraman: But Tinubu thought that it could be solved with a Silver Bullet, and thoughtlessly plunged the common citizens into extreme hardships, in the name of saving on subsidy, while still incurring more debt. May God and the sincere change makers help us. 🙏🏽 |

The combination of subsidy removal and floating the exchange caused inflation which has weakened the naira. Both policies were right but implemented at the wrong time without any strategic measure to cushion the shocks on the economy. The right thing to do now is to reverse the policy and implement contractionary monetary policy to curb inflation amongst other measures. |
