The Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State, Nwoba Chika Nwoba has accused the Honourable Commissioner of Commerce in the State, Chief Oguzor Offia-Nwali of over 600 Million Naira fraud.

In a post he shared on his official Facebook page, Chika Nwoba said it's unfortunate that Oguzo Offia could divert the money meant for hawking children as the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Ebonyi State for personal use.

He revealed that 100 slots were released to Ebonyi hawkers in Anambra State and what Oguzo did was to bring in 60 fake names and allowed only 40 from Anambra to be part of the money. I have evidence about how Oguzo generated passports from primary school pupils in Ezza South as hawkers. I know the person he used to generate the passports. He made N120 million from the one of Anambra alone. I'm not even talking about the deductions he made from lists of other cities.

He further accused Oguzo Offia of acquiring a new Hilux SUV and other vehicles including police escort from the fraud money.

According to him, "As son of a late prominent Senator, everyone thought he was going to act better. He has made at least N500 million from this programme - money meant for poor people roaming the streets of different cities of Nigeria. I'm calling on Governor Nwifuru to probe the humongous fraud by Oguzo and involve EFCC in prosecuting him. It's evil of him feeding fat from the largesse meant for the poor. By this action, he has negated the protest that calls for the involvement of young people in the business of governance. If he could commit this kind of heist in his late 30 years, one wonders what he would be doing in the cause of the administration as Commissioner."

"I reported him to the Governor this evening and the Governor didn't feign ignorant of it as he told me he was going to chair the next tranche. He told me that he would probe him as strong evidences have been brought against him."

Meanwhile, the Honourable Commissioner of Commerce and industry, Chief Offia -Nwali has released a statement over the allegation levelled against him by Chika Nwoba.

In a statement obtained by IGBERE TV, Chief Offia-Nwali gave Chika Nwoba 48 hours to retrieve and retract his malicious and unfounded criminal allegations against his person and issue a public apology using the same means he employed in his publication, failure of which he would leave him without any other choice than to instruct his lawyers to initiate a petition against him to the relevant authorities .

He described Chika Nwoba as a hungry facebook blackmailer and attention seeker.

His statement reads,

My attention has been drawn to a malicious and unfounded allegations leveled against me by NCN.

In my common affirmation and proposition as a person, I believe that as humans, we can only tell others whom we think we are but the people within knows better by what we do than what we say, hence one's antecedents will always predict his potentials that would culminate as precedents.

I would have ordinarily ignored him but for the sake of the uninformed public who maybe persuaded to believe his malicious publication I will reply as stated below.

It's odd and undeserving to reply a common antagonist, a propagandist known by all and sundry as a cheap and serial blackmailer who has lost his bearing, relevance and direction as a human being but who has submitted to the projections and desires of his stomach and pretentious lifestyle.

Herein are the facts which are verifiable as a summary and overview of the empowerment programme as it was carried with verifiable facts and empirical evidences.

He alleged, that the slots meant for Anambra state was 100 and I, Chief Oguzor Offia Nwali singlehandedly hijacked 60 slots out of 100 in perversion for my personal interest. I hereby refute this claim in all sincerity as they are not true and was just a fingerment of the writer's imagination.

How could I have smuggled in 60 names in a program that was organized by a 7 committee members led by a serving commissioner for Trade and Investment who acted as the Chairman of the committee which equally had a Secretary? And I was neither the committee chairman or Secretary, neither was the 1bn mapped out for the programme paid into my ministry account or an account that i am signatory to. I am a member of the committee with Commissioners For Youths and Sports, Aviation, Agriculture,and the National President FON YOUTH MOVEMENT. How could I have waved my magic wand and make these men and women give only me 60 slots out of the 100 slots meant for Anambra State?

What power do I have to exert such a influence on them and propel the committee to do such an outrageous thing without resistance? Why is none of the committee members complaining knowing how I outsmarted them and brought in fake 60 names according to the noisemaker called NCN? Why am I NCN nightmare?

Even as a lame man, can you be a Chairman of a committee and someone else will take over such a number without rabbles or resistance from you knowing fully well that you will be held accountable should the need arises.

Secondly, The committee chairman Chief Elechi Nnanna Elechi and Secretary Hon Elijah Okwu-Udu and members of committee didn't give a single individual power to select names of the beneficiaries. It was a thorough process that involved every team member, screening was done and only those who passed the screening exercise that were selected.

There has been allegations of cases where community leaders across the various states who submitted names to the committee, went back and forcefully asked the beneficiaries to remit back 1.5m to them. No single beneficiary has alleged that I or anyone acting on my behalf or the committee asked him or her to remit back money to them and I challenge anyone who has such claims to please come forward and make it public.

Also, join me and ask the lunatic whether he was the one who assisted me to get the passports of those I used or his cohorts. Those who benefited from the empowerment came in person, trained and not through any passports as the known blackmailer alleged. And if any of you knows NCN very well, you will know he doesnt hide evidence if he has it. I therefore strongly challenge him if he is man enough to publish the evidence he has against me. He who alleges must prove. Waiting for me to sue him before he can furnish the evidence he has against me is rather pedestrian.

He went further to allege that I looted the money and used it to buy Hilux and exotic cars and get myself security aides. When did I start using the said Hilux? When did the disbursement started? It is on record that the same NCN had alleged two years ago that i cannot go to my village without armed security men, where did the armed policemen came from then? did i just start using security personnels few months ago? every security personnels that goes with me today has always been there from years back.

This empirical evidence buttress the fact that he is a man who speaks from both sides of his mouth depending which table there is food for him to eat as a man who is controlled by his stomach. This alone is enough for you to know that a slandarer was actually at work in perpetuating this act of monstrous conspiracy against my person.

According to him, I diverted 500m out of 1bn and there is no other place that this complain is going on except that his Anambra State? 500m 😆 🤣 Maybe he think he is retiring his anyi ga eme ya failed project.

Having said the above, the truth I believe is bare and very lucid herein it's only but a myopic being like him that may believe such a cooked up story without any iota of evidence to substantiate same.

We are too focused on delivering the peoples charter of needs mandate to waste precious time listening to gossips from a well known blackmailer.

At least, the person in question is known by everyone already as a traitor and serial blackmailer who go about begging people for crumbs and then turning back to attack them, you may need to check his antecedents, he has always been in the local media gossips and court of law for defamation and character assassination.

He did same for years against the incumbent Governor whom he wrote all sorts of demeaning articles against but was among the very first persons who ran shamelessly to Govt house few weeks ago in search of the same man he had earlier alleged to have died. He has not left Comr. Chinedu Ogah and Amb. Frankline Nchita Ogbuewu out of his cheap blackmail and of course many others whom he has serially blackmailed on social media platforms.

I hereby give him 48 hours to retrieve and retract his malicious and unfounded criminal allegations against my person and issue a public apology using the same means he employed in his publication, failure of which he would leave me without any other choice than to instruct my lawyers to initiate a petition against him to the relevant authorities
