For true sovereignty to ever exist for any nation, these are the three fundamental sovereign rights a state must have full and total control of:

1. Geographical sphere and full enforcement of its boundaries under its total and complete control.

2. Total and absolute monopoly of violence within the chartered realm as defined above.

3. Absolute monopoly to mint and print money .

I will concentrate on item 3 above but you will all agree with me that the centrist federal government is losing its grip on 1 and 2 above.

While items one and two can be fixed with strong leadership that will instil the much needed patriotism, item 3 is unfixable if we continue to float our currency and economy along the money changers in both London and New York.

There is nothing that can be done to save the naira until we learn that total decoupling from the financial liquidity centres in both London and New York is achieved.

As long as we peg our entire economy on the USD and their gambling dens in London and New York, every effort to strengthen the naira is an attempt at vanity.

BRICS is the only option.

And the reasons why we are not alligned to that fair system is because our so-called elite have their loot trapped in western banks coupled with their greed and stupidity.

It was GEJ that first attempted to diversify our sovereign wealth from the fiat USD and also paid good attention to joining BRICS.

GEJ had the brilliant plan to begin selling Nigeria's oil in naira in Lagos and not Switzerland, London or New York.

They then began their complete sabotage on our economy and floated their useful idiots in APC.

Go back and see how that idiot Buhari was used to derail our economy in 1983 .

The greatest enemy to this nation of ours is our myopic , stupid and selfish so-called leaders.

Well, something happened in 1982.

The price of oil collapsed, so at a point we were forced to spend more naira to get more dollars to pay for all the imports we needed.

That led to the crash in the naira, and where we are now.

But the thing is, oga, there is no harm in joining BRICS. But joining BRICS won't save the naira, doing what the big boys do...ie China, Japan, Germany, South Korea, etc do..ie export manufactured goods and services, is what would save the naira.

We charge the price for our goods and services...and thus become a rich and powerful nation.

BUt what we want to do is use limited oil resources to maintain the illusion of being a rich nation. Which is what we did from 1973-82, when the party ended. We also mess up the show through stealing and corruption and loss of money. We play political games.

We don't promote production, we promote consumption. Government and its people.

And here we are. We don't want to wake up.

Till we change our attitude, we are going to be on the low side forever. ANd our APC government is not showing signs of change. Nigerian people already want the government to sacrifice good economics on the altar of politics and quick gain, and government is listening to them

Make we join BRICS, But it won'tchange the real problem.

We have no option but to decouple from the fiat USD and the corrupt money changers in New York , London and Geneva.

Until we understand that only us can put a value on our labour and products , that is when we will be totally free from this vassalage .

And when obi gave statistics of how we will move from consumption to production, they said na statistics we go chop, this is just the beginning 3 and half more years to go

We can decopule from USD, OR any currency, it still does not change the fact that we are a consumer, that we have a low tax to gdp, that we use limited revenue to feed a large population and that we have a corrupt nation.

Strong nations, be it pro- or anti west always begin the process of becoming strong by realizing the truth of economics....there are limited resources, and it is how you use them that makes the difference.

Are we ready to use our limited resources to make things the world can benefit from, or are we going to continue funding illusions?

Specifically in regards to exchange rate you are taking about , you missed the most important thing which is "NET TRADE BALANCE", the Naira will begin to appreciate when exports begin to exceed imports.....its that simple

Exports can never out do imports until we put value to our local production .
