The Story Of The Rising Star: Stanley Nwabali. A reminisce of the recent clash between Nigeria and South Africa.
I m not a fan of hyping but I must confess Nwabali aka Bobo Stanley has made me remembered what it takes to be a good goaltender. Even when the eagles defense lost concentration, there was hope that a magnet ll catch the opponents missiles and squeeze them to pieces. Didn't you see the way he caught those South African attempts on goal.
There was a time he just waved his hands as if there's a juju on the goal post that said South Africa must not score.
What about his performance against Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, Angola and the recent one yesterday.
It's a great relief that super eagles can boast of a dependable goalie after the exit of Vincent Enyeama and short spell of Carl Ikeme.
A quick glance on his wikipedia page revealed he's from Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Fans besieged his dad's house yesterday to congratulate his family that they v given the nation an illustrious son.
Once upon a time, there was a minor issue btw his move from GoRound FC to Enyimba before he joined jia current club, Chippers United of South Africa.

In 2019, Stanley Nwabili joined Go Round FC, before later securing a move to Enyimba in 2020. He earned his first cap for the Nigerian national team in an international friendly against Mexico in Los Angeles in America.

Well the reset is history and Nigerians can hope to win the cup on Sunday. Wishing the super eagles all the best on Sunday as they face host nation Ivory Coast. Eagles must fight with ojoro, flair and not gree for anybody as the slogan of 2024 is.
