The cancelation or conversion of our second goal to penalty for South Africa making them to equalize us was a big shock to all Nigerians.

R. I. P to all our fallen patriots and I pray God Almighty will comfort their loved ones and bless their souls.

Yes it was going from 2-0 to 1-1 that did it. Not everyone is wired to go from elation to despair in that short amount of time.

I am also not sure that the goal should have been allowed seeing that there were two to three passages of play in between both incidents.

May God comfort the families of the deceased.

I'm really surprised at the number of people recorded to have died watching that match.

My question?

Are people that emotionally tensed with football?

While I understand the tension that can come with supporting a certain team, but I don't think I can ever get to the point of fainting due to football. Lie lie.

Win or not, that wouldn't put a kobo on my account. So why would go that far then?

This days I've learnt and prepared my mind that anytime a goal is scored in football one must not jubilate yet because VAR might still reverse it and that's what those people don't know. Things are changing in the round leather game.

Many people died according to the reports in newspapers. Frankly speaking a lot of Nigerians are going through depression before the match was played. Those people already have disease condition not known to them before watching the match and as a result died thereafter.

The implications of the new VAR assisted rules need to be explained to the people thoroughly in that happiness can turn to gloom within a moment and vice versa.

FOOTBALL IS NOT THE REASON!

People are passing through things in this country. The heart is already fragile. Nothing brings happiness again saves football. That only football that brings joy was about to disappoint.

Haven't Nigerians been watching hopeless matches before and even losing monies they staked for it?

They must win the AFCON cup so as to avoid more deaths on Sunday. Most Nigerian are not healthy even though they look healthy. More reason you should not fight with any body in Nigeria. Don't fight even when they make you angry. If anything, report to the police...just try and avoid fights or getting angry unnecessarily. Take things easy and don't expect too much from anybody. Learn to accept the fact that whatever the situation, it's well with my soul.

It's really surprising the number of deaths that occured during this match.
May their souls RIP.
Shows all is not well with the citizens of the country.
Pray Super Eagles lift the cup on Sunday to honour the departed.

Nigerians are the most patriotic people you would ever meet. Nigerians love this country to the last drop of their blood.

Just look at the social media space, see how Nigerians are supporting and helping fellow Nigerians regardless of tribes and tongues. Any foreigner that drag a Nigerian on any media platforms will definitely have the whole Nigeria to content with.

We all saw how Nigerians dragged Guinness world record organizers when they delayed to announce Hilda Bacci as the newest cook-atho record holder.

We all saw how well meaning Nigerians rally round to to lift mumzee financially within 48 hours.

We all saw how same Nigerians donated massively to davido when he posted his account number online fews years back.

The lists is endless, this is just to mention but a fews

Omo politicians messed us all up! It will go down in history that the greatest country of black race was not destroyed by earthquake, nuclear disaster or any natural disaster but her leaders.

May the souls of the departed who died supporting Nigeria either militarily, politically and through sports rest in perfect peace!

Nigeria should get interpol to arrest that referee, he killed so many Nigerians for cancelling our goal and awarding a penalty against us

He should be charged for man slaughter.
