Throwback:you guys are very dumb and confused. The same government that is shouting export up and down. Instead why can't the government encourage more production. Athe Cement government property. Not only Cement, many nebouring countries are coming to Nigeria to buy grain because our currencies is down. Government should encourage more products like china |

grandstar:It is a very stable currency Since 2004, value has been maintained between 500 and 700 CFA Franc to a $. Now under APC govt naira is now less valuable than CFA Francs. From N133 in 2004 to N1400 in 2014 1cfa Franc = 2.30 Nigerian nairas. |

How can a governor ban legitimate trade? Is it illegal to export goods from Nigeria to Cameroun? One of the problems we have in Africa is that trade among African countries is low and this guy wants to make it worse . The Cameroonians pay for the goods with their hard earned Cfa which we can also use to purchase goods from them if we wish. What this guy is trying to do is to make his people poorer by robbing those who depend on trade with Cameroun of their means of livelihood. Many of our so called leaders actually lack a good understanding of economics and how an economy works. |

What a bold step taking towards curbing trans boarder smuggling. I am really in support of his excellency RT.Honourable Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and his deputy Professor Kaletapwa Gorge Farauta for their positive developmental project to the entire state at large. May Almighty God continue to guide and protect them towards given the citizens of the state the real devidents of democracy they deserve. Amen @ ATM Governor @ FRESH AIR @AUF. No amount of threat can stop people from exporting their goods; that is what devaluation of currency creates: selling your good in naira is less profitable than selling in our neighborhood currency which is more valuable than Nigeria Naira. |

Epstein: They come in with their CFA and change them to Naira. A few CFA gives them some huge amounts of Naira, which they use in buying anything from Nigeria. We see them in their 1000s at the Boarder Towns and villages like Mubi, Michika, Belel, Maiha, Yola etc. To them is a blessing for the Naira collapsing! So what Governor Fintiri planning to is good thing!!! 1 Like |
