Let me tell you what I have observed over the last couple of months concerning IFÁ

We have been DECEIVED for too long!!

1. IFÁ is basically a system of STORING information.

Our ancestors had a mass of stories covering thousands of years, on their ORIGIN, HISTORY, PHILOSOPHY, SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE, ARTS, POETRY, SPIRITISM, MYSTICISM and lots more.

They were an exceedingly wise people.

They had a concept of the Olódùmarè, the Godhead.

They packed so many experiences and made it into CUSTOMS.

All of those massive information were moving from generations to generations, mostly orally and possibly by some means of physical representations all around.

2. Òrúnmìlà was a great philosopher of his time and generation.

Records have it that he was born in Òkè-Ǐgétì in current Ekiti State.

He was a man of divine wisdom gifted with far-reaching vision.

He moved to save those stories of our ancestors.

What he simply did was to GATHER these massive stories, arranged and catalogued/serialized them into Books and Chapters called ODÙS which were then easily referenced for today's existence.

Those works of Òrúnmìlà is what is called IFÁ today.

It is not sorcery or witchcraft or idolatry or any of the stupid things your Pastorpreneurs and Àáfàpreneurs call it these days.

IT IS SIMPLY MORE OR LESS A LITERARY WORK OF GENIUS WHICH FOLLOWS SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLES!!!

He COMPILED a massive collection of wisdom which is now available to mankind for the purpose of navigating our mortal existence on earth.

What he did afterwards is to train some people in the knowledge of interpretation of those works. They the people called BABALÁWOS. They are Priests in their own rights if the IFÁ is to be taken as Scriptures.

It is what the Romans did when they manufactured the BIBLE. They simply COMPILED stories written by some other people and made it into a BOOK. Most of the stories of the OT BIBLE are however plagiarized versions of the works of Òrúnmìlà!!!

They stole it.

They stole the HISTORY OF YOUR ANCESTORS.

It is what they did and this is quite easy to prove.

Take it or leave it.

Just go to the OT and check the description of the people referred to as the Hebrews. They could never be today's Jews who live in Israel.

Funny enough they don't even call themselves Israelites but Israelis.

IFÁ tells you of your SPIRITUAL ESSENCE on earth.

It lays bare your LIFE'S JOURNEY from the very day you were born to the last day, infact it could do it even long before you were born.

It teaches you WISDOM.

It connects you with NATURE.

It is also available for DIVINATION, to tell the future and to solve life's challenges based on references to past occurrences.

It teaches you our unique Yoruba SOCIO-POLITICAL order.

It is PHILOSOPHY.

It talks on RELIGIOUS PRACTICES.

But IFÁ is NOT RELIGION.

3. Orumila indexed the stories into 16 BOOKS called ODÙS

Irosun Meji
Oworin Meji
Obara Meji
Okanran Meji
Ogunda Meji
Osa Meji
Ika Meji
Oturupon Meji
Otura Meji
Irete Meji
Oshe Meji
Ofun Meji

And the 16 BOOKS are further broken into 256 Chapters/Verses

In those 256 Chapters and verses are contained ALL the History, Wisdom, Exploits, Spirituality, Knowledge and Philosophies of your ancestors which you need to know to appreciate them.

In those 256 chapters and verses are all you need to know to connect to your maker, understand life, relate with the spiritual and live your life to it's fullest fulfilment.

These are the works Òrúnmìlà did and for which the Yoruba Nation elevated him to Sainthood, the English word for ÒRÌSÀ.

Anybody can study the 256 Books of IFÁ. You can just make the decision to learn it as you make to learn Qu'ran, Bible or any other things in life.

You will learn it.

It is there for the asking. Just go to those who have it.

Unfortunately, it is still transmitted orally, perhaps for fear of people who will continue to steal it or use sections of it for evil acts.

Our people were COWED into believing their own knowledge was inferior and it was attacked viciously by the Europeans untill IFÁ had to more or less be moved underground until the knowledge was available only to a CULT of people.

It is our undoing.

Our children should be encouraged to learn it, IFÁ must be made available to our generation so we can know these things.

4. IFÁ is also a DIVINATION tool.

IFA is indexed into 256 Chapters and verses.

These verses are known.

Òrúnmìlà simply created a system of BINARY ARITHMETIC with an 8-piece order capable of generating 256 possible combinations so that each of the combinations will correspond to each of the 256 chapters of the IFÁ CORPUS.

It's that simple.

Òrúnmìlà knew, as we should also know if we were a thinking and observant people, that ALL of Nature's creations came in TWOs. True and False, Male and Female, Open and Close, Life and death, Up and Down etc.

He simply used the BINARY of OPEN AND CLOSE.

From that knowledge, Òrúnmìlà arrived at the ÒPÈLÈ as the medium of generating the Open-and-close BINARY ARITHMETIC to access the stories which he had catalogued as IFÁ.

The ÒPÈLÈ can be ANY OBJECT as long as it had TWO CONTRASTING sides. You can use groundnut shells, Coins of today's currency, Crown corks of bottles etc.

You need EIGHT of those objects.

They are to be arrange FOUR a piece on both sides.

The system of encoding is designed in such a way for you to get 256 POSSIBILITIES of the combination of Open/Close of 8-piece objects.

That is basic MATHEMATICS.

Òrúnmìlà had catalogued the stories into 256 ODÙS/CHAPTERS so you necessarily need a binary system with 256 possible outcomes to corss match the 256 chapters he created.

You need this ONLY FOR DIVINITION.

Based on NATURE'S ORDER, if you spoke the words of your heart, silently, into the 8-piece ÒPÈLÈ, by the time you CAST it as a lot, the 8-pieces, as they "heard" your heart's desire which you spoke into them, will open in such a binary combination that will reference a RELEVANT SECTION of the stories stored in IFÁ.

Those stories referenced will surely be relevant to your current situation and because such had happened in the past, for Òrúnmìlà to have "documented " the same ideas which were used at the time of your ancestors to attend to the same situation will be recommended to you and if you used them you will surely get same results as your ancestors did.

It's that simple.

5. IFÁ teaches you WISDOM, your HISTORY, how to connect with your ORÍ which is Olódùmarè living inside of you and how to get words of direction when you seem lost or confused.

Our people DIDN'T do religion but believed each man could relate directly with Olódùmarè through his ORÍ.

When you were born you had your own destiny and life's path which you only needed to know. It can be revealed in the rites of Akosejaye conducted on the third day of a child's birth.

What can be wrong with such a system?

Why demonize and stigmatize it?

The reason is simple.

"THOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE".

But they are doing everything for you not to know this. You are permanently distracted from knowing this.

It is the reason CHRISTIANITY requires you to FIRST BE BORN AGAIN, to be like a dependent CHILD who will be spoon-fed, and to be like a SHEEP, the most gullible of all creatures.

And ISLAM won't even allow you much space to think of contrary opinions, your head will be chopped off ni.

Those guys must have had a VERY SADISTIC SENSE OF HUMOUR in Rome when they invented Christianity and Islam and plugged it into our throats.

And if you didn't know that the two religions came and still being maintained from same source it means you haven't even started.

We are being railroaded.

Ah, this is too deep for an average dudu person these days.

They prefer to seek miracle and be spoon-fed.

If not to acquire certificates, they won't be interested.

How disappointed our ancestors must feel to see us trade their superior wisdom for foreign ones.

Ifa wisdom that keeps growing and growing has no equal on earth.

They had to demonise Ifa and Esu as juju and satan to easily convince dudu man. When in fact Ifa is the purveyor of wisdom and esu is a very intelligent saint who mastered the art of trickery and understands how dark forces of evil, deceit and treachery work.

No evidence in our history that esu was ever cast out of heaven by Eledumare for being disobedient or evil. How did it come to be equated with the Western/Middle Eastern idea of the devil?

Asians value their tradition and religion and the whole world respect them now.
