CelebritiesRe: Psquare’s Peter Okoye Reacts To Fighting Video by 7ran53nd: 5:43pm On Sep 26, 2017
I think their time has come. All this immaturity being displayed is not worth it. They built a foundation and came to light as P Squared, they became famous as that, they earned a good fortune as that, they've grown old as that too but "maturity"... That one is eluding them. I wish them well though, but if their time has come, it has come. If they blossom as solo artists, fine, and if they don't, well they've tried.
But if all this is being caused by a person, then they're among men, most pathetic. Do not let anyone break up what you've spent time and effort, blood and sweat to build. My one Kobo.

FamilyRe: Today's Experience Changed My View On Domestic Violence by 7ran53nd: 12:33am On Sep 18, 2017
Evaberry:
very few men are victims of domestic violence. Women always bear the brunt of a man's anger

No matter what a woman says or does, a man should never hit her, a man is physically stronger than a woman so hitting her will inflict serious physical damage, whereas a woman may not cause any real harm to a man.

Op the husband in your write Up should have quietly left the compound and go relax somewhere until he was sure his wife had calmed down. when a woman is angry she throws all reason and caution to the wind, it therefore falls on the man to be understanding and reasonable

Engaging in a fisticuffs with a woman is wrong and should be condemned.

This one-sided, ignorant narrative is the reason amicable solutions are difficult to arrive at when it comes to issues of misunderstandings in a home. Violence is perpetrated by both men and women. Both equally suffer from the vile things that the other does. A man must not hit a woman no matter what she does. Well, that is very dumb when looked at from the perspective of women hitting men and gender equality. No one should hit anyone and no one should abuse the other.

A woman who is violent must expect violence and vice versa. Verbal abuse is as destructive as physical abuse. Don't go about thinking you have a birthright to hurt and not expect retaliation.

A reasonable woman will find better ways to resolve an issue but if she resorts to a less dignified way, the repercussion should be expected.

Domestic violence is bad and no one should be exempted from blame.

Like someone has said, "it depends".
Yes, do not forsake the gathering of the brethren, but sometimes, what you'll find in church might even offend your spirit. If you love God (which is most important) anywhere you worship Him is ok. I recently found the audio files of Apostle Joshua Nimmak's sermons very uplifting that I don't even feel the need to attend church. I can pay my tithe anytime and make donations anytime. Dazall! The spectacle is interesting.

[b]Now this is how a post should be written - balanced; not one-sided. thank you OP, people should by this post, learn how best to write in this present world where sexism is the order of the day; this gender wanting to bash the other one thinking they know whats best about the other one. OP, frankly speaking, your head correct and your write-up is well constructed and organized. the points are valid, enough of this self delusion whereas it is all in the face while the heart is burning up with regrets, grief and fear.

Marriage is not as bad as it is painted o, your life goes on almost as much as it was when you were still single. the challenges are there but they cant be more than you can't cope with so if you're a guy and you're afraid of committing, don't let the responsibilities fool you. they are there but so also is your present single life - you are never as "free" as you might think while single. Lastly, the small-small perks wey dey marriage worth am o. coming home to meet my little Seth wifey always melts all the stress from the day. Even if me and wifey get issues, still doesn't compare to an empty house.

I was in a phone shop yesterday and this guy +-40yrs walked in with his 5 kids. FIVE DAUGHTERS MEHN... but it was beautifuuuullllll... the oldest was like six and the rest are like a year apart of each other. i can understand the stress that the man goes through with all the crying and such but the fun too is immeasurable. The family was just lovely sha. My point is guys, you might be afraid of committing but it is not as gloomy as you might all think. My 1naira.

Sheybi this idiot of a woman didn't realize how dangerous it was for her to put the kids' faces on the internet? Instead of hiding herself in this shameful time, where your husband is being shown to the world to have dispossessed innocent people, killed people, put families through trauma, etc.
Whatever she thought she could get from this stunt, she thought wrong, she thought foolish, she executed in the most senseless way possible. How are those kids going to get a normal life now? Heediot!!!

PoliticsRe: Aftermath Of Heavy Rainfall In Asaba, Delta State (Photos) by 7ran53nd: 5:36pm On Jun 01, 2017
nextstep:
I've tried to understand this issue in Asaba and I think there are several problems, and not all of it is government's fault:

1. The primary issue is that Asaba is down hill, relative to everywhere else in the region. All of the rain - from Ogwashi, Igbusa, Isele-Azagba, Okpanam - eventually runs down towards the Niger River and goes through Asaba on its way, overwhelming any drainage designed to handle only that city's rainfall.

2. There is a lot of uncovered, unprotected land in and around Asaba. A lot of the roads are also unpaved, or heavily damaged, which exposes the soil to runoff. This means a lot of erosion from uphill ends up clogging Asaba drains. We need to pave more, plant grass and build retaining walls that prevent all that sand from flowing down. Even on the Asaba-Benin-Lagos expressway, you'll see lots of clay soil coming down into the highway in several places.

3. Residents think it's a good idea to throw their garbage into the flowing water which further clogs up the drainage

4. Since the Niger river rises significantly during the rainy season, the water table rises with it, slowing or even preventing drainage down hill.

5. As we learned in primary school, clay is almost impervious to water, which means unlike many places, the water doesn't drain into the ground as quickly; couple this with the already full water-table, and you have standing water for days.

These are all surmountable - and not unique to Asaba - but I just wanted to provide a little more insight that goes beyond abusing government. In my opinion government needs to understand the unique conditions of rain/water table/soil type in Delta, and hire bright people who can solve it.
Good points there bro! The second point highlights a problem that will render every work downhill (Okpanam road) useless. Silt. If the adjoining roads and streets to Okpanam road are not paved, nothing will work on that road because silt will eventually block the drains. You can hide from that.
Then the issue of garbage dumping.. ah that one.. SMH, I see that often especially around Midwifery market. I saw one aboki orange seller one evening dumping his orange skins into the drain and mehn, the sight was annoying, same with those market women. This time of corn is the WORST.
Rising level of the Niger won't be much of an issue if you're planning a drain system as even the 2012 floods didn't affect the town itself. Just those very low areas along the rivers edge.
PoliticsRe: Aftermath Of Heavy Rainfall In Asaba, Delta State (Photos) by 7ran53nd: 5:21pm On Jun 01, 2017
it will only get worse because people are building everyday and the new commercial areas being developed (Okpanam) is sitting on a basin. You'll be amazed when you find out where all that water comes from. The earlier the govt tackles this issue, the better. Waiting for later will only make things worse. Runoff has overwhelmed the drainage system already. What Okpanam road needs is a massive underground system that will be channeled through Marble Hills and the road opposite School of Midwifery to a canal across the express all the way to the Niger on Ibusa side or a very ambitious channel running under the road to discharge into the Niger behind FMC. Such projects are better done when a place is still developing not after people have planted approved structures everywhere and you can no longer pay compensation anymore because it is too much.
