How many international students from first world countries do Russian universities attract?

Does Russia have a Silicon Valley? If so, what's the net worth? How many world's leading companies operate from there? Russia is just a hype. Although we don't like it, American companies practically run this world. The Chinese are even waking up.

To my opinion, I don't know why American and Canadian universities haven't started studying Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Cybersecurity as independent departments like most UK universities.

As far as studying IT in universities is concerned, UK universities are way ahead of American and Canadian schools. British universities are the best in Europe but remain the most expensive in the continent.

You do have a point but that's not all there is to it. They are ranked based on teaching (the learning environment); Research environment (volume, income and reputation); Research quality (citation impact, research strength, research excellence and research influence); International outlook (staff, students and research); and Industry (income and patents).

There are deliberate restrictions to scholarship and research from universities in the global south especially based on research quality and industry. It is incredibly difficult to break the glass ceiling. I'm not going to blame them entirely because the education budget in Nigeria is too low for instance.

But Nigeria get about 10,000 professors... Wetin happen?😂

And that's because it is cheaper to train a doctor here in Nigeria and absorb them into their system, not necessarily because Nigeria has a good educational system. Doctors absorbed from Nigeria are retrained on how to use the latest tech in medicine & surgery.

In terms of structures... Infrastructure the least university here in UK will beat the best university in Nigeria.
