Sweetness of Companionship

In the Movie My Heart Beat, Selena Maya falls in love with Marcus Alfred and their love life is a delight. For years she dreamed of having a romantic and caring partner and her dreams were nearing completion when he proposed to her by the beach sands. In a romantic show of his prowess he bought a diamond ring to seal his commitment.

Relationships vary from person to person and marriage can be a very great delight. When God said. ” A man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh”. He was talking of a union of two loving hearts and minds ready to share forever with each other. While there may be many failed marriages. There are also many successful and good marriages that depicts the kind of love God talked about.

The Songs of Solomon was set aside to tell about the fundamentals of marriage and intimacy. The Shulamite woman is wooed by Solomon with words and affection that creates a lasting bond between them. Sweetness in marriage is God’s purpose for marriage. Loving relationships build loving marriages and loving marriages build loving homes. Marriage is sweet when you have someone who loves you unconditional and manages your defects rightly. God uses good marriages to build good homes and even the church. So be loving to your spouse and be open about building a good love life where companionship becomes sweet.
