Krismas:Before jacob they were called Hebrews, after Jacob they became the children of Israel..later they divided and had several tribes and most popular then was the southern kingdom called the kingdom or tribe of Judah. They were later referred to as Jews way before king Saul and David. Before the coming of the romans. Judeans were also idol worshippers, they had gods like baal. Aside from the kingdom of Judah there was also the samaritans and they were not jews. Jesus christ was a jew. |

Postinor:ever heard of the islamic empire Jerusalem is the religious home to both christians/muslims. During the islamic empire they had more arabs moving into jerusalem thereby reducing the number of jews in Jerusalem and othe parts of ancient israel. Those jews fleed into europe and africa. But they still had connections back then like a whatsapp group in order not to lose their identity as a jew and israelite. The kingdom of judah which is present day west bank was known back then during the roman empire as Palestines. So the arab population in jerusalem expanded. It was the holy crusade led by the knights that saved jerusalem from islam for another 100 years before it fell again to islamic King saladin....so that land has changed hands between several people. |

ruggedtimi:Gibberish How people can talk off so confidently must be the 9th wonder of the world. 1. All claims cannot be substantiated outside the Bible 2. I recommend you examine the Bantu explanation to this same events u are reeling out. U will be surprised 3. Jews were never Middle easterners. They’ve always been Europeans. 4. It’s wasnt until the 19th century Jews were used to describe Judaeans. 5. Judaea is Latin word for Judah 6. Kingdom of Judah or Judaea was invented by the Hasmonean. Serving any other god aside Judaism was punishable by death 7. There were never Jews in the kingdom of Judaea. Jews only came into Palestine in the 1930s |

petesunday: Don't be deceived. Majority of Israelis were still living in the land called Palestine before the Zionist movement came all over the World to formed the state of Israel in 1948. In your analogy Israelis must not have a place called country/home because some strong men took their lands in the past. |

Fuckyoumod:God bless you for the rendition of God's Word. God Himself has declared judgement on these terrorists, whom history has shown to be descendants of the Canaanites. No amount of terrorist sympathy can derail Israel and she must possess her rightful land and territories. Jerusalem can never be part of the Palestinian state, because it's Jewish territory. |

ednut1: A people got expelled by Romans 750BC, people fled to Europe, the from ones that remained some converted to Christianity and Islam and lived peacefully together for centuries, until the decendants of those fled to Europe came back as hungry Holocaust survivors to claim the land as theirs and kill the indegenes. Most do not even look middle eastern God did not promise the Jews anything in the Bible. The covenant was made to Abraham, who was not a Jew!!! Unearthing ancient structures in an area has zero relevance to the on going genocide carried out by these irahelli terrorist. Their hands hall be ruined, they and their supporters will be disgarced in this world and the next. |

nnamdiosu: Go and read the History. Jerusalem was destroyed and occupied by the Romans long before Jesus. Jesus was born under Roman Occupation. Why were they ruled by Herod and Pontius pilate? The Jews were living as second class citizens under the romans. They were perscuted and oppressed, just as the current Zionazis are treating the Palestinians. As result lots of them fled to European lands, where they converted some people into Judaism. 2 Likes |

Re: 1,800-Year-Old Roman Camp Unearthed At 'Armageddon' In Israel (Photos) by mikeapollo: 9:31am On Feb 19 |
Postinor: In that case, why not go and give the land to the Palestinians, after you had admitted that they came to live in Jerusalem after the Jews were driven out during wars. The Jews that ran away from Jerusalem are back to their forefathers' land; let those who want to claim the land challenge them with superior historical facts |

ruggedtimi: Lol. Who's feeding you people with these lies. Let's break down true history to you. Islam first took over Jeruslalem around 638AD, during the Caliphate of Umar bin al Khattab(RA). Prior to that it was under ROman pagan rule, the pagans upgraded their paganism to trinitarian christianity and continued to rule the land untill the rise of Islam in the 7th century. According to sincere Jewish scholars, there were no Jews in Jerusalem at that point. Umar sent for the Jews, who had fled to neighbourinf cities to come back and settle in the lasnd as it was precious to all Abrahamic faiths. Also note that between 325AD, when Europeans hijcaked christianity and made it a trinity, they had nearly wiped out all jews. According to Jewish Rabbis and historians, justdaism was about to become exticnct. The rise of Islam in the 7th century came to save the Jews from the hand of the bloodthirsty European pagans turned christians. Let's leave it here for now. The history of that land is deep. Zionist terrorist are trying to feed you with lies about Muslins. 2 Likes

Kobojunkie: Kobo, been a while. How are you? Clear explanations. But let me get your point still. I get that these people have changed over the centuries (intermarriage with other tribes, wars, displacements, etc), but those that are alive today were able to trace their lineages and according to prophecy, they were able to return to the land that the Lord God of their forefathers said he will give to them forever. Recall that when they (the Jews from Judah largely - even though some people from Samaria - the Northern Kingdom, moved south to Judah, after the conquest of Samaria by the rampaging Assyrians) were slaves in Babylon, almost all of them still held on to the traditions of their forefathers and never worshipped other gods or changed their lifestyles. Daniel and his companions - Abednego, Azariah, etc comes to mind. They even had to keep records of their family genealogies so things don't get mixed up. These guys kept their traditions through the ages - Greeks, Romans, Byzantine, Great Britain, till date. Do you have a problem with all these? You think these are not thesame people and so should not lay claim to the lands of their origins? |

mikeapollo: So by that logic, Africans that were forcefully taken away durignslave trade have every right to come back to expel you and your family from your homes. It's their ancestral lands afterall. You people should learn and understand what a statute of limitation is. That your ancestors lived in an area thousands of years ago doesn't give you thr right to claim it. The bible is not a CofO. 1 Like |

Krismas: Well, let me bring something from your Muslim believers. If you say the Jews now are from Eastern Europe, who were the Jews they were talking about that were in these lands that have lived so long that they were dressing like the Arabs? And living peacefully with the Arabs in The so-called Palestine, Egypt, Algeria, and Turkey? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9omtipdL-N8?si=6cF1jp5BQ-B866Uv Well, you can say all you want on Nairaland, but it won't affect the truth or the recent happenings. For Yemen Jews, they are called Teimanim. In Turkey, the majority of Jews who lived there were Sephardi Jews which were 98% of the Jews there and the rest were immigrants from Italy. We still have till today, in Turkey, a Constantinopolitan Karaite community with a history tied to the Jewish quarter of Constantinople in the 1200s. Before the 1929 unrest, we had Jewish communities in all arab countries. Familiarize yourself with history if you think all the Jews were from Europe lol. 1 Like |

k4kenny: The people that were expelled by the Romans were the Jews. They have the right to return to the land of their ancestors! God promised Abraham; and fulfilled the promise through his son Isaac, and his grandchild Jacob (later Israel). These are true incontestable facts. If the land truly belongs to the Arabs or Palestinians, why don't you ask them to mention the names of their indigenous kings that ruled over Judah and Jerusalem, like we have David, Solomon, Hezekiah, Jehoshaphat etc for the Jews ? 1 Like |

It's like me saying since Ramadan is coming next month, YOU TOO MUST FAST BECAUSE MY SCRIPTURE SAYS SO . Do you believe in my scripture? Capital no, so why should European jews distort the scriptures to favour them and them only? |

k4kenny: By this logic, the present day Israelis will have to fight to take "their" lands back. But wait, you agree that the Israelites laying claim to the lands are truly Jews and Samaritans? If yes, are the Palestinians ready to do that war with these present day Israelis? Because if we go the war route, these Palestinians will be wiped out in days. And Israel will take all the lands - including all in West Bank and some part of Jordan, like they did during the 6-day war with the Arabs, back in the days. Are the Islamists and Arabs ready for this war? Will they win? IF Israel wins, Arabs/Islamists will have to accept their fate and remain silent for ever. |

Draslo: In 63 BCE, Roman general Pompey seized Jerusalem and its surroundings. The Romans toppled Judaea's governing Hasmonean dynasty (which had been in power since around 140 BCE), and the Roman Senate crowned Herod the Great "King of the Jews" around 40 BCE. Show me in history where the "Palestines" were conquered in that land. |

Postinor:Religion Na bastard. If you observe Jewish religion well from the beginning to the end. They steady talk about aliens and UFOs. They try to hide it from the rest of the world. That's why books such as the book of Enoch, father of Methuselah were removed both from the Torah and Bible because he aptly described aliens and flying around in their craft. But some cannot be hidden like Moses going to the top of a mountain to receive instructions, like Elijah being whisked away by Alien tech to Jesus ascending to heaven. We now know heaven is not embedded in our atmosphere |
