Why are people challenging this statistic? It is based on the economic definition of unemployment.

Does this mean that is the real situation. We all know it is not however, NBS is guided by appropriate measures of the various statistic they publish.

ATEAMS:
I can BeT my left BALL that these figures are INACCURATE

They are accurate and it is sad because when this govt came in, they changed the unemployment measurement to manipulate reality, now the joke is on them because the figures look ridiculous even to them grin

NBS said, if you have not worked in the past seven days, or if you not have been looking for work in the past four weeks but you are ready to start work; you are unemployed shocked

Those who changed the measurement think they are smart but you cannot plan with bad data. In the government eyes, Nigerians are gainfully employed, that means any plans they have to solve the problem will be at 5% unemployment forecast. How will they solve the problem when their bad data does not accept that unemployment is nearly 50%

Before they changed the model, unemployment was 33%, now imagine what we have now. How can employed people have time to protest? How can they have time for hard drugs, betting, gambling, kidnapping, banditry, religious worship on workday? How?

Re: Nigeria’s Unemployment Rate Rises To 5% – NBS by reXurrectionZA(m): 9:00pm On Feb 20
Something is happening right now, the punch 11 april 2023 said unemployment rate was 41% or so. Now all of a sudden im seeing 5%, i know that 2010 nigerias unemployment was around 30smthing%. Now im checking for such records and im seeing 3%. Someone has changed or removed these records online, is this how evil and desprate this government is? This is very serious.

they have edited, it is very false. If police cannot function according to their tenents in a country is it the banks, power holding or population board, that will function well? When last did we even have a census in this country? This figure is a big scam. Go online and look for materials on unemployment rate before 2023 you will see.
