Trying to divert the fact on ground. This government has messed up the economy, if it was in a good country like Europe, both would have resigned just like the way prime ministers of British stepped down immediately they noticed that the problem on ground is beyond what they can handle. Telling us that you confirmed that the thing happened doesn't change anything on ground, they know that Nigeria can be easily manipulated that is why he coming out to confirm such.

Just three nights ago, 45 trucks of maize were caught being transported to neighbouring countries. Just in that Ilela axis, there are 32 illegal smuggling routes,” the VP said.

Very wicked people everywhere.
Thanks to customs

Border is closed but we are still importing rice from Benin republic

Smuggling can never be eradicated 100%

Do you understand what the word “ illegal” in “32 illegal smuggling routes means”? Should we open dictionary for you?

I don't understanding, did they steal the maize? Is just like asking someone not to move his wares outside Nigeria to sell. Just imagine this useless people.
It is very difficult to understand this people,is that not among the reasons the naira was floated to improve export and earn more forex, why make it look like this people are doing the wrong, or are they not operating a free market again, where demand and supply interacts
There is demand for maize outside the boarders for a private product not Petroleum that have government subsidy o.
Nigerians should come to the rescue of this government, they are confused

Why don't they go and plant the maize, harvest it and sell it in those countries?

I keep saying it that it is not only the politicians that are the problem of Nigeria. Civil servants and the average Nigerian combined are a bigger problem than the politicians.

The north seems to be using two out of the three potent powers they have. weaponize food for closing Niger border, weaponize forex just to teach the south lessons for taking their dollar subsidy away.

Tinubu was right, let us endure for awhile, their will always be antagonists for true restructuring.

Tinubu, a bad man with good intentions
This your divide and conquer so, can it work?
Re: VP Shettima Confirms Interception Of 45 Trucks Moving Maize Out Of Nigeria by maasoap(m): 8:39pm On Feb 20
People (farmers and agro traders) are now moving agricultural produce to sanctioned African countries who are now under military rules because food and other things are now expensive in those countries. This is also a contributing factor to other factors like herdsmen, bandits problems together with Tinubu’s trial and error economic, fiscal and monetary policies

The north fleeced Nigeria all this year's.
FG gives them free seedlings, subsidised fertilizers and tractors all in a bid to boost food production but what do they do? They will sell the produce, which was generated via FGN subsidies, to neighbouring countries at higher prices and sell the remainder to Nigerian markets at the market they like instead of at subsidised rates.

Because it's no more convenient the northern leaders are now kicking against it.

FGN must stop subsidising agriculture, it's a private business. These farmers are already billionaires they can carry on on their own

You are stopping Nigerians from exporting their agricultural products (farm produce)......then how do you want to diversify the economy, how do you want to earn unautomatically looted foreign exchange by NNPCL, where is the encouragement for farmers that despite all the life threatening risks from Fulani herdsmen, bandits, iswap and Boko Haram were defiant and resilient and took to their farms to offer Nigeria another way out of their current debacle on a platter of gold....... grin grin grin grin grin

So these farmers trying to eke out a living for themselves legitimately should be crucified because you are baffled at how your non state actors didn't get them in their farms and they could produce this much...... grin grin grin grin

Wickedness........ grin grin grin grin

Stories without evidence, concocted to deceive the people. Where are the videos? Show the evidence of what you are alleging. This is a charade meant to hoodwink the masses to give the impression that the government is not at fault. More of their governance by propaganda. You believe these guys at your peril.
