Godwin Emefiele, immediate-past governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has demanded the sum of N25 billion as damages from Senate President Godswill Akpabio over an alleged defamatory remark.

On Sunday, Akpabio said the allegations against Emefiele are so numerous that the federal government does not know which charges to pin on him.

The senate president also blamed the economic hardship in the country on the policies of the former CBN governor. Akpabio and childish talk are just inseparable..

In the letter dated February 19 and seen by TheCable on Wednesday, Matthew Burkaa, counsel to Emefiele, said if Akpabio fails to pay the aforementioned sum and tender an apology, the ex-CBN governor would seek “appropriate redress”.

I love this. Akpabio is a mole in PDP has no moral right to make such defamatory statement against Emeifele. Period of Emeifele was it not better than this present CBN new management. APC and Akpabio should buried their head in shame for always blaming people so as to have sympathy for their failure.

I believe Emefiele was assassinated in DSS custody before Tinubu could claim that he resigned as CBN governor. All these fake news is to make it appear he is still alive, so that when his death is eventually announced Tinubu can be distanced from being suspected.
