In essence, Lagos State has the capacity to become the poorest state in Nigeria while pretending to be rich. I guess that's what the governor is trying to say |

Telltruth123:not entirely true. Some profession requires deep understanding not half baked common sense. This is because common sense often requires experience but experience is a shortcoming when its impossible to experience everything before drawing a reasonable conclusion |

Dobodobo04:Good point. The problem is not debt it is what is been done with the debt. United states is probably the most indebted country in the world. As we speak the rest of the world is going into recession while the US economy is growing with almost full employment of all citizens willing to work. The problem with Nigeria is most of the loan goes into peoples pocket to the detriment of the purpose for which it was obtained. 1 Like |

Telltruth123:Exactly. All the others added debt, from jagaban to the current one except Ambode. Yet we saw his impact in all sectors. Ambode is a seasoned administrator and financial expert compared to the others. Eg, I had a fellow that joined the service under the guy before amobide. This fellow was in a lot of cash, he dropped cash for a whole house to be built and delivered turnkey. Back them the guy will meet chicks and introduce himself with 200k. Immediately amobide came in, levels changed. Omo, cash reduced. Ambode blocked all the loopholes they used to enrich themselves. As I always say, you give 2 people 1m, one will manage that 1m, turn it around, and with time that money will grow. When you see his achievements , you will be shocked. Meanwhile the other fellow would have blown his, be broke and in debt within the same period. We have always had the second person described above as our politicians. 1 Like |

Are we all supposed to be clowns Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria, has been ranking as one of the worst places to live in the world for the nine straight years, a BusinessDay analysis shows. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
