The launch of Nigeria’s automated passport application process for her citizens in diaspora is scheduled for 08 March 2024. The portal will go live starting with Italy in Europe, Canada in the Americas, South Africa in Africa, and Malaysia in Asia. This was announced by the country’s Minister of the Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. He also said that after one month of resolving any glitches, the automated system will then be deployed globally on 08 April 2024.
