Barr. Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata of Edo State (while he was still a Governorship aspirant under the Labour Party) renovated a dilapidated school building which went viral in August 2023.

BluntCrazeMan:
THE INEC RELEASED REPORT DID NOT GIVE THE REASONS FOR THE BLURRED RESULTS ON THE IREV-PORTAL

On Friday, 23rd February 2024, the INEC officially released The Report of the 2023 General Elections.

The report gave details of the various preparations and the various trainings of the staff, including the inter-agency partnerships and stakeholder engagements, the logistics, the grand summary of the results of all the elections, and so on

The report however did not indicate the exact number of adhoc staff - both NYSC Corps-Members, Professors, and other persons that were engaged for the elections, as well as the ratio of the adhoc staff to their own permanent staff.

In as much as the report tried its best to explain the so-called “Glitch” which caused the disturbing delay in the upload of the results of the presidential election to the IREV-Portal (pages: 160, 161, & 162); the report didn't state why there were blurred Result-Sheets uploaded to the IREV-Portal, and why there were highly-mutilated results-sheets on the IREV-Portal.
The report also did not explain why some of the uploaded images were unconnected images that has absolutely nothing to do with the Presidential Election.

The INEC Report is trying to make us to believe that “the uploaded result sheets for the Senatorial and House of Representatives Elections instantly appeared on the IREV-Portal immediately they were uploaded by the Presiding Officers at the Polling-units,, BUT THAT WAS NOT WHAT HAPPENED..

.....
**MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE**
During the Presidential Election, after the time when the uploading of the Presidential Results failed, the INEC Officials did Offline Transmission.
Even at that, the results of the senatorial and House of Reps Elections had not yet appeared on the IREV-Portal.
The Presiding Officer told us that they did Offline Upload for that night, and that before they reach to the ward collation center, we would see the results on the IREV-Portal..
Then They left.
It was in the morning of the following day that we saw both the Senatorial Results, the Reps results, and the Presidential Results all present on the IREV-Portal.

Three weeks later, the same thing happened again.
During the time for the upload of the results sheets of the Governorship Election and House of Assemblies Election, after it was successfully uploaded, THE UPLOADED SHEETS STILL COULDN'T APPEAR INSTANTLY ON THE IREV-PORTAL.
We had to hold all those INEC Officials to sit down there and wait for the results with us.
We continued to refresh our IREV-Portals and continued waiting for the results to appear, so that the officials can start going.

The Presiding Officer had to call the RATECH who said that he (as the RATECH) must log in and approve the uploaded results before we can see it on the IREV, and thus he pleaded that we should allow them to go..
But we refused.
The RATECH said that he cannot leave the ones he was doing at the ward just to come over to do those ones.
We still Refused.
But after much pleading, we agreed to let them go, but we collected the number of the RATECH from them, just in case we happened to discover any discrepancies in the IREV-Portal.
In less then twenty minutes after they left, the results appeared on the IREV-Portal,, just the way it was when it was captured on the BVAS-Machine.

....
The reason I recounted this experience of mine is just to make it very clear that the BVAS-machines still had to be TAKEN BACK TO THE WARDS, so that the RATECH would confirm them before allowing them to go online.
And if the RATECH wasn't satisfied with the results inside the BVAS, he would have to re-scan the results again.

I am yet to understand why the INEC’s Report of the 2023 General Elections downplayed this very important aspect of the whole Election, and decided not to report it the wrong way.

I hear he did well whilst at the NBA and he looks a cool-headed person however, all politics is local and in an off-cycle election like this, it is a direct race between the PDP & APC. Others will fight for a distant third!

Kudos to OOA though.
