The Edo state civil organization took to the streets of Benin to protest against the hike in the prices of foodstuffs and the continuous increment of the dollar.
The inhabitants of Benin took to the streets bearing placards with inscriptions such as "cost of living wan kill the living", "Tinubu wan take hunger kill us", "how dollar take affect the price of pumpkin leaf" etc.
However the protest was a peaceful one as no life was lost or properties destroyed. Security men where also on ground to forestall law and order.
