Gistmedia10:
The Lagos State Police Command has taken swift action against a woman caught on camera assaulting a police officer in Ajah on February 21, 2024. Omorogbe Jennifer Soni, a 26-year-old woman, was charged with serious assault following a heated argument with the officer.

The altercation took a physical turn when Omorogbe attempted to reach her car, pushing the female officer forcefully to the ground. This disturbing incident was captured on camera, leading to her arrest by the police.

According to a statement from SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, Omorogbe was promptly arraigned the day after the incident, on February 22, 2024, at the Etiosa Magistrate Court in Ajah. The court ordered her remand at the Kirikiri Female Correctional Centre until her next hearing on March 27, 2024.

In his statement, Hundeyin reiterated the commitment of the Lagos State Police Command to uphold the law and ensure the safety of all residents. He urged Lagosians to remain law-abiding in their daily interactions, warning that anyone found guilty of similar offenses would face the full consequences of the law.

An officer on duty should always be at alert, especially during an argument with a civilian. That's the ethics of the security work.

Nobody deserves to be physically attacked no matter the situation - there are too many instances we have seen that did not end well. NPF Officers can be annoying but common sense has taught some of us that dialogue is often the way out, not brashness and assault. I am sure the lady is already regretting her actions and will be very humble now; there will be lessons to learn from her case especially for people who feel they are hot-tempered.

Comments here show why you should not allow people in social media to advise you.

See how everyone is calling that lady bad names and want her to be crucified.
No one is blaming police now.

Same people would've have bn calling this same girl a weakling if she had refused to act on that police harassment. They would've told the girl that she made a mistake by not beating the officer up.

Now she don push, wahala don come everyone don dey attack the woman.

Don't ever act for ppl to praise you. Same ppl will shout, crucify him crucify him if any thing goes wrong.

An average Nigerian is lawless and uncivilised. That's why Nigeria has bad leaders. These bad Nigerians are the ones that abuse power when they become public servants. Imagine what this accused lady can do if she is a councillor, a governor or a senator.

Jennyclay will avoid this thread.

Heaven knows what the NPF and the society would have done if the accused is a male, especially for the fact that the assaulted officer is a female.

But the officer is a proof that the NPF is filled with incompetent individuals. Falling just like that when pushed by a fellow woman? How strong is she to secure her duty post?

Yes Jennyclay the frustrated furnace clay can never comment here with her borrowed pose car and her old tiny olosho leg 🦵

You are very correct! On March 27, you can appear in court to help her explain this as you just did now and when you have the opportunity, you can as well slap a policeman. Remember you have a point

Police steps to punish a stupid citizen:

Step 1:
Be reminded in prison without bail.

Step2;
One or two months date ahead for first appearance in court.

Step 3:
On the first appearance date, IPO pleads with the judge and ask for an adjustment because investigation is still on.

Step 4
Police comes to the court on the second appearance date to inform the judge that the IPO has been transferred. Judge gives another date.

Step 5:
Repeat from step 3.

If you dey form guyman, na because pant never wear you.

Aesthetical:
Unfortunately fir her it was caught on camera , there’s no way she won’t suffer the consequences of her stupidity.

There is always 2 side to a story, While am not in support of her actions,

something must be taken into consideration, what was her offence, that makes her to disagree and enter an heated argument with the police officer at the first place,

That She got so Angry to push the officer, The story is saying serious assault on the female officer, But where is the serious assault apart from pushing

Am sure those police officers had been doing worst to citizens yet they take slow motion to charge them,

BTW Oluwa give Omoregha the strength to overcome, and hope She learnt her lesson

Most Nigerians should be made to travel to sane countries, so they can learn to be sane...You touch a police officer here, you will be shot. You can argue with your maker when you get to heaven.

thesicilian:
That was audacious of her. She must be sleeping with one sugar daddy politician somewhere to give her that level of boldness to assault a police officer

Its not about stamina bro, what happened here is just like what happens in the game of football when you tackle Osimhen in the box 18, baba go fall yakata and the ref will have no option to award a penalty kick.
That's what happened here.

A very violent girl. What gave her that audacity to push an officer on duty will disappoint her when the NP finish with her. She doesn't respect a woman like her and an older woman for that matter.
