Dr Siju Iluyomade Biography

Siju Iluyomade, a Nigerian lawyer, speaker, and activist, is the driving force behind the Arise Women Conference, a faith-based NGO dedicated to empowering women, and the Handmaidens Women in Leadership Series. In addition to her impactful initiatives, she is recognized as the wife of Idowu Iluyomade, a senior pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Born 1963 in Lagos, Nigeria, Siju Iluyomade attended Queen's College, excelling academically and in extracurricular activities. Graduating in 1985 with a law degree from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), she has been actively practicing law ever since, specializing in corporate law, international trade and finance, and energy law. She is a proud partner at the Iluyomade & Iluyomade & Co law firm. She holds memberships in the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association.

At 61 years old in 2024, Siju Iluyomade hails from Ogun State, Nigeria. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident through her pursuit of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Kenyatta University, alongside her legal expertise.
Siju Iluyomade's career journey began in 1985, marking the start of her tenure at Iluyomade & Iluyomade & Co. Her legal prowess in corporate law and international trade and finance has earned her partnerships and involvement in high-profile cases and transactions for both local and international clients.

Passionate about women's rights, she initiated the Handmaidens Fellowship in 1995, fostering a space for women from diverse backgrounds to learn and grow under her mentorship. In 2009, she founded the Arise Women Conference, an annual event attracting thousands of women for inspiration and empowerment. Additionally, she launched the Handmaidens Women in Leadership Series to equip professional women with leadership skills and networking opportunities.
