You guys do not seem to see and appreciate the good works the minister for Digital Economy (Bosun Tijani) is doing.

Man is doing a good work in that ministry.

The tangibility will soon be heralded and beheld. I wish him speed in his digital transformation drive.

As I suggested some weeks ago, some ministers have no business in the cabinet:

To add to that list, Dr Doris Uzooka Anite needs to be shown the door for lacking experience in signing that MOU with Kemi Badenoch for UK lawyers to practice in Nigeria and celebrating it before she was heavily resisted.

Also to go is the Minister of Transportation. No one knows his name.

We don't hear much from the Minister of Water Resources and whoever is the Minister of Environment.

The ministry of youth needs to be shut down. The relevance of that ministry is not clear.

Tunji Alausa needs to leave the Ministry of Health and take charge of Humanitarian Affairs.

The president also needs to carefully examine the young ministers. Many of them need to go as they lack experience to head ministries.

El Rufai needs to be brought in to fully head the petroleum ministry. We need a well known mad person in that ministry. Merge it with power and call it ministry of energy resources.

I like that

Nigeria cannot make progress the way it is structured because it wasn't designed to. We must take the first step, which is restructuring.

By the way, governors don't even have much. Nigeria isn't a rich country. What your FG budgets is less than what one American state budgets.

Allowing governors to control their resources means bringing governance closer to the people. And state houses of assembly must pass laws compelling LGA chairpersons to live in their LGAs.

Governors pay 10% tax to the centre, shares 60% of resources to the LGAs according to their contributions and keeps 30%. If you don't see changes in the next 10 years, know that Nigeria cannot work.

As for love and love for country, that can only happen when the resources of the people are used to take care of them. You don't owe love to a country that has given you nothing. And resources get to the grassroots when we have functional LGA administration.

We need to be honest with ourselves bro. The major challenge the country presently faces is corruption. Until we are honest to deal with the matter, there can be no progress on any front. Of what use are resources when a few are out there fighting and killing each other to possess everything to themselves? Of what use are resources that are there but are not beneficial to the people? How can you ever believe politicians who say Nigeria is a poor country? Nigeria is not poor. The citizens are mentally poor.

Except for nuclear weapons, Nigeria possesses all the ingredients of a world power.

Nigeria has the natural resources, human resources, temperature and landmass. Why suffer food insecurity when we have lands and people to farm? The only difference between our country and the USA is the nuclear power. Again, the leaders are not prepared to use what is available to develop the country. Even the citizens are culprits as they absolutely agree with wrong leaders to put them into misery.

Aside from embezzlement, why are the leaders so interested in political power? All they embezzle are taken abroad to further add to the development of developed countries. They return to tell us that the country is poor while they continue with their stealing.

Oil is not the only resource that can bring make us great. We have gold, gas, lithium, copper, zinc, bauxite, all of them that can be exploited to make us great. The politicians steal gold in the north and personalize it. Lithium makes others countries economically great.

It is not about who keeps what first. It must be about ending corruption, etc. The country was not this polarized until 1999, when politicians forcefully pushed the ethnic card. Restructuring is just another opportunity for some to take advantage of the disadvantaged.

Again how can the resources of the people be useful to them, as some do not even want their communities to be properly developed. Have you not heard that in some communities, you need to appease the youths before you can instal transformers for them? You can ask the telecoms companies how hard and dangerous it is for their staff to install or audit masts in their communities.

We ask God for help. He answers with elections. We take out PVCs, collect bribes and vote for embezzlers and oppressors. We cry and yet justify our wrong actions. How then can the country get better even with restructuring?

First, what governors receive from the FG now cannot even pay their civil servants their monthly salaries. Therefore, you cannot tell them to run the police in their states without them having the resources to do that. This is one of the reasons why they must control their resources. The feeding bottle system has made governors lazy because their hands are tied.

Many governors are working; we just chose to turn blind eyes to that fact because we just assume that all politicians are corrupt. Besides, the value of naira has terribly depreciated over the years, meaning that they cannot really do much.

However, making governors control the resources in their domain means that nobody will blame Abuja (federal government) anymore for their inability to develop their states.

Afterwards, LGAs will be functioning and states will pass laws compelling all LGA chairpersons to live in their domains. Governance and resources must be brought closer to the people.

Lastly, building a multicultural country is a lot of hard work. Funnily enough, those who think they can develop Nigeria overnight haven't been able to fix their lives yet.
Their money is not enough to pay salaries? grin

As Minister, once your PR team is solid, you'll have the dumb Nigerians in your pocket singing you praises.

Less than 4 months after coming on board, the dumb guys started saying the interior minister is the best performing minster simply because he made passport acquisition process easier for the japa crew.

Does his mandate begins and ends with passport matters only? Look around you, there are hundreds of illegal immigrants walking freely on the streets of Nigeria, but because he made the passport process easier, he's the best minister.

Betta Edu wanted to follow that part, but the oloshoism in her and her stealing traits didn't let her do it well.

As far as I'm concerned, no political office holder is doing anything because they didn't structure the country for them to do anything other than to chop and share slots..

For you to be labeled the best performing minister, 80% of the entire populace must feel your impact, not just people seeking to exit the dungeon.
You meant the minister should be chasing illegal Africa migrants up and down as if other African countries don't have illegal immigrants of Nigeria in their own country.

you have not answered y questions.

1. if you are impressed by Tinubu how are you then praying that he succeeds?

2. for you to be praying shows that you are not even sure of what you are saying about Tinubu. did Japan, Germany, Sweden, Finland, China, Canada pray for their leaders before they got to where they are today?

3. if Tinubu was of sounder body and mind what would he have differently or better?

4. what are the bold steps you say Tinubu is taking?

5. what are the policy changes you say he has made and how many are they?

6. you say "most of his policies are good". which ones are good and which are not good?

It's either RESTRUCTURING or nothing. Thanks to THE DIRECTORATE OF CONCERNED PATRIOTS IN NIGERIA AND OVERSEAS FOR RESTRUCTURING who has started the movement.

As part of their efforts, here's the OPEN LETTER sent to the President - Bola TINUBU among other stakeholders:
THE DIRECTORATE OF THE CONCERNED PATRIOTS IN NIGERIA AND OVERSEAS
OFFICE ADDRESS:
NO. 5, ADEGBITE CLOSE, BEHIND AYOTOZ HOTEL, AGBOWO SHOPPING COMPLEX, UI, IBADAN, OYO STATE, NIGERIA.
OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA - ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU
THE BIRTHING OF A NEW NATION, UNIFIED PEOPLE, NEW GENERATION THROUGH RESTRUCTURING UNDER THE UNITED STATES OF NIGERIA (USN) WITHOUT ANY DIVISION --------WALE OLAGUNJU (PROPHET)
The Directorate of the Concerned Patriots in Nigeria and Overseas uses this medium to express our profound gratitude and thanks to our present and past leaders for their past and present contributions, support and tireless efforts in building our nation called Nigeria. We recognize and appreciate your immense support towards building our nation. We also extend our thanks towards great works that you all have done in the past and present, in the capacity of fostering and restoring unity, peace and tranquillity in our nation Nigeria. However, some of our past and present leaders went through some challenges during those times they were trying to build this nation. Some lost their lives and family members while others went to prison and some went on exile. Some were left frightened for life physically, emotionally and mentally as a result of the challenges they went through. We thank you all again for your tireless efforts in harnessing peace, unity and order and promoting peaceful coexistence in our nation as well as promoting health, agriculture, education, rural and urban development.
We also express all our appreciation and thanks above to ex-Presidents and vice Presidents, patriots, Former and present Governors and Deputy Governors, Former and present Inspector General of Police, Former and Present Chief of Defence Staff. All former and present Chief of Army staff, Navy and Air force staff. All former and Present Senate and Deputy Senate Presidents and Speakers House of Rep. Former and present Chief Justice of Nigeria, all distinguished legal luminaries. We also appreciate all our Royal Fathers, Clerics both Muslims and Christians and notable critical Stakeholders who have contributed towards building our nation in one way or the other.
We, the Directorate of the Concerned Patriots in Nigeria and overseas under the leadership of Prophet Moses Akinwale Olagunju (The Presiding Bishop Divine Seed of God Chapel Ministry) REG/CAC/IT/NO 24973, appreciate and thank you all while you are all still alive, unlike other nations who only appreciate their leaders when they have gone.
We also appreciate those who are currently in power, starting from our current President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was also a former prominent member of NADECO, who fought the injustice which was going on in our nation then. This led to his imprisonment and he was chased out of the country. We also want to remind you sir, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that the fight for injustice which you did not finish during that time you were a member of NADECO, this is the time to continue from where you stopped. It is your desire and passion to fight for injustice in our country Nigeria.

This is the time that you and your present team of Governors, Ministers, members of National assembly and other critical stakeholders including past leaders etc… can come together and rebuild and restructure a new nation called the United States of Nigeria (USN) as a sovereign country with sovereign states.
Texas is a sovereign country and also has a sovereign state under The United States of America (USA). We can also see this, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) making Dubai a sovereign state under them. We can also rebuild and restructure our present nation Nigeria into a sovereign country called The United States of Nigeria (USN) with sovereign states like Kano, Kaduna and Sokoto etc… This will further make our present country Nigeria to be the only African country whose states are united under the new name United States of Nigeria (USN) without any division.
Since we are currently practicing the American presidential system of government, we should also restructure fully in line with the American system of government, which is true federalism where all arms of government will be fully functional. It holds a promise of Nigeria’s redemption. Furthermore, it will rank our nation among the advanced and well organized nations in the world, envied by other countries and it will also resolve many lingering crises our nation is facing and move the nation forward under the new name (United States of Nigeria) with all allegiance to the federal government of the United States of Nigeria. Note this important clause, we must place the love and the unity of our country above tribal and religious sentiment. Hence, any state which by whatever means should decide to break from the united states of Nigeria will be confronted by the whole states, for we want to remain one entity under the United States of Nigeria as a role model for other African nations. This will also make Nigeria to be the only African country in the continent whose states are united under the new name called the United States of Nigeria. (As also stated above)
OUR AIM, OBJECTIVE, VISION AND GOAL
Nigeria is currently 63 years of age, the Nation needs to move forward in development through restructuring the nation based on sovereign states towards local and regional development (just like the United States of America) under the umbrella called the United States of Nigeria, still practicing our own presidential system of Government under this umbrella without any division. Our aim, objective, vision and goal is not driven by tribal, religion or political party inclinations, but by the spirit of understanding that Nigeria’s history holds an honest fact that the regional arrangement has been the best in record of sustainable development. Hence, retracing our steps back to the point where the nation fell in 1966, and then by restructuring, it will enhance a genuine national sovereignty, sustainable local and regional development. Apart from this, it will also serve as a catalyst for economic growth, sustainable development, fostering unity, peace, love, tranquillity, equality, and justice under the umbrella of a United States of Nigeria without any division and with high competition among the sovereign states.

WHO ARE PATRIOTS?
Patriots are those who love their country wholeheartedly without any form of compromise and with the fear of God.
NIGERIA TODAY AND THE WAY FORWARD UNDER A NEW NATION This Is the time for us as a nation to remove every bottleneck and hindrances that have been causing crises in our country, implement full restructuring; and practice a true presidential system of government just like the United States of America (USA). For example: Texas is a sovereign country and also a Sovereign state under the USA. Likewise, Kano can also become a sovereign country and also a sovereign state under the United States of Nigeria (USN) without any division. Your Excellency, to this effect, we solicit for your full support towards the actualization of the said RESTRUCTURING for we want to repair the devastations done to many generations up till now.

National Sovereignty is when a nation has the power to govern itself. The country does so without any interference from outsiders, meaning that they have complete control over their own territory. A State’s sovereignty is based on the exclusive power that it exercises over its territory and its people
“What we are advocating for is for our leaders to come together in ‘UNITY’ so as to renegotiate the nation based on sovereign Nation and sovereign states under the United States of Nigeria (USN) without any form of division just like the United States of America and the United Arab Emirate (Dubai).”“However, this will solve many lingering crises by moving our nation forward and favoring every tribe. However, Religion Crisis will be solved because every religious body/individual can practice the tenet of their faith without any hindrance. As well as advancing and promoting the course of the youth.” So, Nigeria must be restructured to have peace, security and progress.
We have 36 states presently and it is impossible to disband the 36 states without causing a greater crisis than before. These 36 states have gone far and so, they are like children who have matured to some extent into adulthood. Disbanding them is like killing the adult children. These 36 states have moved beyond foetus level of babies in their mothers’ wombs. They are no longer there. If we disband them, it is like killing them, their growth and development which would cause lots of harms and injuries. Any child killed can never come back alive. Instead of killing a child, it is better for us to train and redeveloped the child, that is, work on the child for his/ her improvement in the areas of his/her weaknesses. Our committee reviewed many things in order to prevent further crises, instability and war in this present country called Nigeria in order to maintain peace, stability, progress and prosperity.

THE RESTRUCTURED NEW NATION
We need to build a new nation called the United States of Nigeria (USN) which will be made up of SOVEREIGN STATES within our respective regions, but with new modifications in line with the world leading democracy, the United States of America. Each state will have a very high level of autonomy. We are imploring all significant stakeholders in our country to meet, discuss, and fashion a new lease of life for our people through restructuring because the situation in our country today is very horrible.
How do we maintain the Oneness, peace, stability and security of this country? We need to redesign our own sovereignty to fit our targeted purpose, needs and our people which will enhance development, peace, and unity without any division while maintaining that ONENESS. We look at the Sovereignty of the UAE (Dubai), the United States of America (USA) and also the United Kingdom (UK). We realized that we can be under one nation and have sovereign states, united without any form of division. The cement and water which we are going to use to rebuild for a proper rebirth of a NEW Nigeria under the United States of Nigeria (USN) is unity(cement) without any division(water) where each sovereign state pledges allegiance to the federal government of the United States of Nigeria (USN)
The sovereignty we are talking about is Sovereignty of a Country called Nigeria to be changed to United States of Nigeria (USN) where each state is given its own sovereign power, authority and ability to rule and govern over its own territory to itself independently without any interference from external powers in order to develop as a sovereign state within this sovereign country called United States of Nigeria (USN) united without any division, just like UAE, (Dubai) and USA. However, each sovereign state pledges allegiance to the federal government of the United States of Nigeria (USN) This way each state is given exclusive sovereignty over its own territory to make laws and policies that will enhance development to the grass root level. This is the way of building the ruins and desolations of many generations which we have left for years undone.
The Benefits of this Nation and States Sovereignty
1. Autonomy: By having sovereignty, a state can make its own decisions and determine its own policies without interference from other governments. This allows a state to have greater control over its own affairs and to pursue its own interests as well as the interests of its people and for the general good of the United States of Nigeria.
2. Great Competition among different states under the United States of Nigeria in State building and development
3. Grass root development :Most of our local governments will be developed
4. Power and authority can easily be exercised within the state
5. Laws and policies can be made to suit the needs and development of each state as the people will be involved in state building and development
6. Promoting monopoly of legitimate voices united: The voice of the people can easily be heard from the grass root level as they will also be involved in decision making for state development.
7. The independence, peace, security and stability of each state is maintained and sustained.
8. The rights and freedom of people in the state is protected
9. Better life is provided for all citizens of the state up to grass root levels
The citizens of each state will have an independent mind set let’s build it together we do everything much better when we are allowed to do it our own way instead of having someone else’s forced their own ideas on us
10. Promoting Unity and Social inclusion from grass root level to state level
11. Reducing poverty, instability and inequality from grass root level.
12. Knowing that the benefits of their achievements is first and foremost theirs before everyone else, the citizens of each states will be motivated to work hard; they will develop a can-do spirit and an unanimous and independent mindset of “we can build our states by ourselves” and that together, they can do everything much better when they are allowed to do it their own way instead of having some other people force their own ideas on them.
13. Since the federal government will be excluded from primary, secondary and tertiary education except in setting, supervision and enforcement of standards in collaboration with the states in matters of subject contents – quality and directions in relationship to national education and other development goals as well as morality which will forbid introduction of foreign culture into the Nigerian education system state promotion of state owned unity schools and social inclusion from grass roots level can be strongly embarked upon by the states statewide.
14. Reduction of poverty, instability and inequality from grass roots level will be achievable as the local and state governments will be direct employees of labour order than the civil servants in factories and other business ventures; these may be fully owned by the state government or partly owned by her in a Public Private Partnership (PPP) to create employments and wealth for the state and of course the nation, using the state’s minerals and other resources and potentials of the state waiting to be harnessed. Other areas of employment at local and state government levels include the Local Government and State Government Police Forces, environmental and sanitation workers like in the old Public Works Departments (PWD) at local government levels, farmers’ support and agricultural extension service workers at Local and State Levels and necessary coordination offices at the state level.

Let us go back to the dream of our founding fathers. If those with whom the powers lies now fail to do it, God Almighty shall raise another generation to do it in the nearest future. We pray that God will give you the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to take us to the Promised Land.

NB: Other publication on the Punch Newspaper, Sunday, October 15, 2023 @page19 and page 14 of December 3, 2023 same newspaper. We have also written to notable stakeholders all over Nigeria about these issues, including; ex-president, General Obasanjo, General Babangida, General Abdulsalam and former vice-president Atiku Abubakar. As well as the 36 States Governors, State assembly speakers and leaders of the National Assembly.
Yours faithfully,
