They just want to use this opportunity to walk away. Let the local champions take over. If well managed, some local businessmen could transform nestle and bring it back to profitability. These foreign owned companies don't like making losses outside their home country. |

@FreeStuffsNG your standards are low, people like you dont want the best for Nigerians. In what world does an exchange rate movement from 700NGN to 1400NGN a good thing. You must be in an alternate universe, an upside down world filled with psychopaths. Paper loss that Nestle would still have to account for on the cash flow or balance sheet statement. You are full of **** You think by lying often it becomes the truth : definition of a psychopath. Ill mark this post for future ref. FreeStuffsNG: 2 Likes |

@ Zxcvbnmghtr Yes the economy is biting but they dont have population were more that 60Percent described as being multidimentionally poor. They dont have a system were the mininum wage is 20dollars a montha with sky rocketing food prices. Your standards are low, people like you want Nigerians to be poor and don't want prosperity. Mediocrity. Nigerians are too patient from 1USd to 1500usd. Rubbish. Zxcvbnmghtr: 1 Like 1 Share |

Sirmwill:Abeg make them no leave Nigeria… I like the way they treat ALL their staffs including contract staffs. They pay their staffs well and free lunch every blessed day(better food with big chicken laps🍗). I was privileged to work as a contract staff in their branch at Sango-Ota in 2020, I worked for 5 months, I was paid 90k monthly. Every festive period or public holiday like Christmas, sallah, independent day, new year e.t.c they normally share 1 portion of everything we do produce for all Staffs like golden more, milo, Nescafé coffee.. etc I really enjoyed my stay there! It’s not easy to be a full time staff there no matter the connection you have! They pay their full time staff well, they pay above 130k monthly depending on your position. If you’re receiving below 130k then you must be a contract staff. The man I was working under was receiving 350k monthly and he’s not even close to any managerial position. I really enjoyed working with them! |

We complained so much about this economy killing businesses? How many of the executives of these multinationals have cut down their luxury lifestyles to protect shareholders' funds? How many of these executives have made sacrifices to keep the company afloat and save shareholders from this type of tears? Some of these shareholders too will not question the lifestyles of these executives ones they have been treated well. Until we begin to question, query and challenge these companies' executives about their luxury living at the expense of shareholders' protection, we have not started. |

What Nestle? Experiencing a loss in the stock market can be challenging, but it's important to approach the situation thoughtfully. Here are some steps you can consider taking if a company you've invested in incurs significant losses: Stay Calm: It's natural to feel upset or frustrated, but it's essential to stay calm and avoid making impulsive decisions. Emotional reactions can lead to further losses. Assess the Situation: Evaluate the reasons behind the company's poor performance. Consider whether it's a short-term issue or a more significant, long-term concern. Look at financial reports, news, and any other relevant information. Diversification: Assess your overall investment portfolio. If your losses are concentrated in one stock, it might be a reminder of the importance of diversification. Spreading your investments across different sectors can help mitigate risk. Reevaluate Your Investment Thesis: Review the reasons you initially invested in the company. Has there been a fundamental change in the business, industry, or economic conditions? Consider whether the reasons for your investment are still valid. Long-Term Perspective: If your investment horizon is long-term, consider whether the company has the potential for recovery. Some companies go through temporary setbacks but bounce back over time. Consult Financial Advisors: If you're uncertain about what actions to take, consider consulting with a financial advisor. They can provide personalized advice based on your financial goals, risk tolerance, and the current market conditions. Tax Implications: Before making any decisions, be aware of potential tax implications. Selling stocks may trigger capital gains or losses, impacting your tax situation. Decide on Your Next Steps: Based on your assessment, decide whether to hold, sell, or buy more shares. Make decisions aligned with your overall financial goals and risk tolerance. Learn from the Experience: Use the experience as an opportunity to learn. Reflect on what went well and what could have been done differently. This knowledge can help you make more informed investment decisions in the future. Remember that investing always involves some level of risk, and markets can be unpredictable. It's crucial to have a well-thought-out investment strategy and to periodically review and adjust your portfolio based on changing circumstances. If you're unsure about your specific situation, seeking advice from financial professionals is recommended See my signature for ways out of the present hunger in Nigeria. 1 Like |
