Seventy-two hours after the Federal Government said it had security measures to counter the Boko Haram insurgency in Yobe State, facts have emerged that it had ordered the establishment of military joint task force in each of the six states in the North-East and other adjoining states.



The National Security Adviser, Gen Owoeye Azazi (rtd.) had on Monday talked tough, while reacting to a US advisory to its nationals to avoid three hotels in Abuja, following alleged Boko Haram threat.

Azazi had said, "Security agencies have emplaced (put in place) adequate counter- measures to secure lives and property."

States in the North-East zone considered to be haven for the Islamic fundamentalist sect are Bauchi, Yobe, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Adamawa.

Under the new counter-offensive compass also are Kaduna and Niger states, where bombings attributed to the sect occurred some months ago. It was learnt that JTF presence in these states was at the behest of President Goodluck Jonathan, after he presided over a top security meeting, in the wake of the Yobe mayhem.

Casualties from the Yobe attacks on the eve of the last Sallah were considered the highest so far since the Boko Haram challenge took the country by storm early this year.

The NSA had said, "The US statement is eliciting unhealthy public anxiety and generating avoidable tension.

Our government and reactive measures goes hand in hand. Must they wait 4 hundreds to die in yobe before they know dat north-eastern nigeria is under threat of boko. If na to remove fuel subsidy dem go dey proactive wit their economics of imminent economy collapse

This is what we expect from GEJ, they should get the suppport of the media to blanket a media blackout over those states to allow the military do thing their way, The military must be ruthless to instill trauma , shock and awe on those states as it is clear they are all sympathetic towards Boko Haram in one way or the order, Yeah I can hear some of u say what happens to human rights, human rights breeds terrorist who take advantage of the kids glove the army is forced to apply in the name of human rights

Maybe we need to make some military incursions into Chad, Cameroon and Niger to underline our seriousness. Those countries, especially Chad and Cameroon, habor the boko haram leaders.

Good decision, lousy timing. This is what they should have done months ago. Gej has been too docile in this matter. The house to house searches in maiduguri came very late too. At this stage we're supposed to have the chadian and niger govts pissing their pants over what might happen if they dont keep their territory clean. Upon all our regional super power swag. Can you imagine america's response if terrorists cross over from mexico continuosly to strike them

Military siege in all of northeast naija is long overdue, but our intelligence agencies shld be more active not just robotic soldiers

They will achieve absolutely nothing.Maiduguri is an example where boko haram are seen today as saviours.It is celebration when soldiers are killed and boko haram have recruited so many members because of attitude of this soldiers

The soldiers should not just go on indiscriminate killings, if they can get the populace on their side, make them believe they are there for their safety, this will be a huge success, GEJ should also intensify efforts on intelligence gathering and should close the Niger and Chad borders for some days, put some squeeze on those guys to also secure their borders.

Why can't Jonathan approve military operations in the 36 states?. What stops Boko haram from moving down south when the military men in the 6 North eastern states disturb their operations?.

They can't move down south  . . .the worst they can do is send in few individuals for a hit . . .and the repercussion on any resemblance of them would be telling including some poor innocent souls . . . There is no hiding place for them down south am sorry . . .

I don't know  much bout the middle belt cos they can blend to some extent . . but in the South . . .We go arrange them . . .They are easily discernible  . . .Their modus operandi is to blend and hide among the populace and that they can't achieve here . .

I think it is a silly idea.

Look we must ask ourself what do the majority of nigerian want. Jonathan Goodluck is from a small ethnics group of less then 2% of Nigeria. and his government view represent the view of this minority of Nigeria. what about the views of the majority of nigerian which is 70%. david mark is a minority from less than 0.05% of nigeria.   Please quote me on this. This is one of the major problem.  It exclude the majority of nigerian for minority of nigerian. this is one major problem

What do the majority of nigerian want. Look at the satellite pictures. Majority of nigerian want the federal republic of Nigeria to be broken up now. But Jonathan Goodluck and his governors, senators, and others. Dont want that, this is where the point is. Not because they love nigeria, but for their own self. self will lead to the death of millions of people.

Look over 90% of nigerian who have seen the satellite pictures of Nigeria, will tell you secretly. It is not possible to continue with the nation of nigeria.  It is not possible. Even if   pastor kumuyi  or Pastor adeboye  tell you it is possible. Then please quote me on this. That I will call pastor kumuyi  or  Pastor adeboye a liar.  If they  doubt that there are lie detector that even they can put pastor kumuyi or pastor adeboye on, and pastor adeboye will fail a  lie detector.   

what am I trying to say. the situation of Nigeria is worst than the government of Nigeria is putting it. It can not get better. You cant continue to cheat people and expect them to want to continue in that nation


we have to remove edo,delta and Yorubas.   there is Boko haram in sokoto too, there is boko haram in kebbi too and zamfara ,  so how many military zone do you want to put all over nigeria.  it is not possible to remove the north east of nigeria because they have common interest and history like sokoto. the only possible place to remove is edo,delta and Yorubas.

  nigeria is going into civil war.

Immediately after the Yobe attacks, I had to commend the JTF in Maiduguri. BH attacks in Yobe was a 'cry -out' after being striffled in Maiduguri. I think now that the Elders' forum of Maiduguri have become silent and allowed security agencies to do their work, we are beginning to see changes. Very soon BH will be flushed back to Niger where they likely came from.
Big Big Kudos to Gen. Azazi though. Very intelligent.

Soldiers from Darfur and other peace keeping missions are being drafted straight to these states. It will be wise to have some soldiers in other states too because BH gorrilla tactics involves catching people unawares. They will claim alot of casualties if they decide to move base to any southern state. Though they will not last 3 attacks, but the casualties will be grand if they are allowed to strike.

Look, most fulani people are considered as Boro people. the word Boro is not a good word, but just let me just use it to explain what i mean. Boro means bush people. or people who do not accept the western idea. You find fulani in adamawa , bauchi, gombe too,   Yola is a fulani town. the lamido is the head of the fulani people in adamawa. Prof Jubril aminu is a fulani man.  He is considered a Boro man by the other ethnic group.

So it is impossible to fight boko haram using the military.

it is not possible to remove the portion from nigeria because , you have started another war with the hausa /fulani people, you will be cutting off the hausa/fulani,


The only solution is to remove edo,delta and Yoruba people. who are homogeneous. in one part of the river niger

look you.Keep quiet, I can speak for the Yoruba people. who do not support injustice. we have principle. We would not support nigeria to fight to keep nigeria as One. so the nigeria govt will be in trouble. why, because injustice is been done to the Yoruba people. Look Bayelsa state get N14 billion  month  for making false claim of oil. While Oyo state get N4 billion. there is no oil in ogoniland , that is bori in river state. And there is no oil in abia state,   Jonathan Goodluck can not continue this injustice against the Yoruba people and expect the Yoruba people to this government.

SHAME ON NIGERIA SECURITY SERVICE AND ADVISER. IF THEY MAKE PLANS THEY FIRST COME PUBLIC BEFORE THEY ACT.

I THOUGHT THE FIRST STEP WOULD BE TO FIRST SEND SPY'S INTO THE STATES TO GATHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE SECT AND THEIR HIDE OUT , THEN THE MILITARY COMES IN WITH INFO AND WIPE THEM OUT WILL THEY BLOCK OTHER STATE TO WIPE OUT THOSE WHO PLAN TO ESCAPE ?

NOW THEY HAVE SENT IN SOLDIERS ON UNIFORM WHO DO NOT KNOW WHO THEIR ENEMY IS, BOKO HARAM WILL START TO KILL THE SOLDIERS AND THE SOLDIERS WILL START KILLING THE CITIZENS BOTH GOOD AND BAD.
