It's quite sad that the MTN network goes bald or down at will when one needs it most.

When facing issues with a bad phone network, you can take several steps to improve the situation. Here are some suggestions:

Check Network Coverage:

Verify if you are in an area with known network coverage issues. You can check your service provider's website or contact customer support for information on network coverage in your location.
Restart Your Phone:

Sometimes, simply restarting your phone can help refresh its connection to the network. Turn it off, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
Toggle Airplane Mode:

Turning on and then off the airplane mode on your phone can quickly reset its connection to the network.
Check for Software Updates:

Ensure that your phone's operating system and your carrier settings are up-to-date. Software updates may include improvements to network connectivity.
Switch to 2G/3G (if applicable):

If your phone is set to automatically connect to 4G or LTE, try switching to 2G or 3G. While these networks may be slower, they can sometimes provide a more stable connection in areas with weak 4G signals.
Manually Select Network:

Access your phone's network settings and manually select your carrier. This can help in case your phone is having difficulty automatically connecting to the strongest available network.
Remove and Reinsert SIM Card:

Power off your phone, remove the SIM card, wait for a few seconds, and then reinsert it. This can help establish a better connection to the network.
Check for Network Outages:

Visit your carrier's website or contact customer support to check if there are any reported network outages in your area.
Wi-Fi Calling:

If you have a Wi-Fi connection available, consider using Wi-Fi calling if your phone supports it. This can be especially useful if cellular signal strength is weak.
Use Signal Booster:

Consider using a signal booster or a femtocell device if you consistently experience poor signal strength at home or in a specific location.
Contact Your Service Provider:

If the issue persists, contact your service provider's customer support. They can provide specific troubleshooting steps, check your account status, and escalate the issue if necessary.
Consider Network Switch:

If you consistently face network issues, you may consider switching to a different service provider with better coverage in your area.
Remember that network issues can sometimes be temporary, and trying the above steps may improve your situation. If the problem persists, reaching out to your service provider's customer support is the next best step for personalized assistance.

Your people who led Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ since 1970 ate NITEL to kwashiokor level. The multibillion Dollars invested in NITEL landlines gone.
NITEL died, and Nigerians were forced to use mobile phones. Oyibo who invented mobile phone will not touch mobile phone for communication if there is a landline. Una no get shame
.

Nitel's problem has a lot to do with the fact that once GSM came on the ground, it could not compete...financially or technologically

As at 2000, Nitel had about less than a million landlines after over 20-30 years of operating. GSM companies were able to triple that in five years of operating

Throw in the fact that Nitel could not muster the finances GSM companes were mustering, the botched privatisation of the thing, and the fact that Nitel's subsidary for GSM , Mtel, was charging at very low prices, which meant that they could not get enough funds to make their servicies better, and improve.

Then wireless has taken over. Most people use mobile phones. the old landline model is being phased out.
