You are a major problem of Nigeria today.
Pls rest.
You are a major contributor of the ebbinpawa grab it and run with it clueless humans in power.

What needs to die is criminal corrupt elections.
What needs to die is " grab it, snatch it and run with it" politicians and elections.
What needs to die is for elders to turn a blind eye against criminality because it is his tribe or companion.

Nigeria is sinking today because of a desperate grab for power. After grabbing the power, cluelessness, failure, confusion , hardship everywhere.

Who is SOyinka talking to?

Why is it that evil men dont die?

Hitler died.

Stalin died.

Judas died.

Abacha died.

Anini died.

Oyenusi died

Derico died.

All these evil men are dead. So evil men do die.

And finally all of us, including me and you, whether evil or good will also die.

So don't wish death on good man Soyinka because one day you will meet him in the grave.

This same old man fought for your fathers. Show some respect.

Only to turn around and fight the children of the fathers he fought for. He was a major voice supporting the protests during goodluck Jonathan's time, he and the elites held banners protesting against goodluck. Now all of a sudden he is an old man, I remember then the pyrates confraternity were willing to follow this man to the ends of the earth as he fought against goodluck, now even the hardship is affecting not only him and the people around him but all the confraternities in Nigeria, all men, women and children are under hardship because of choices he made and you want us to give him accolades abi...

I may have my reservations against him but if the truth must be told,Nigeria needs this decentralization soon rather than later!
Every state needs to develop at their own pace with their own resources under their care!
This feeding bottle federalism only makes governors lazy with everyone focussing at the centre!

Was the election rigged or we Yoruba tribalists voted for Emilokan Tinubu? You are all confused. Let me just remind you that if you start preparing for 2039 now, you MAY still make it.

As for 2027, we have that in our pockets, we have grabbed, snatched and run away with 2027 already.

2031 to 2039 is for the Kanuri Wonder Boy Shettima.

So, if you start preparing for 2039 now, you MAY be lucky if the god of Politics Emilokan Asiwaju Tinubu forgives you, if he doesn't, then no hope for you

The way to go in order to stop the lazy governors from being lazy and really hold them responsible for their actions and inactions, then stop the overbloated representatives from milking this country dry.

I swear. Once this happens, the collective blame a President will receive will reduce and people's brains will be redirected to regional governments who will now want to outperform each other. Win win

European politicians were not stupid after the fall of the Berlin Wall when they tactically supervised the dissolution of nearly all the multi cultural, multi religious and multi ethnic countries that once existed in Europe, because Europeans got to understand that such countries never thrive due to the centrifugal forces acting on such countries.

Nigeria's politicians, especially from the south, know that Nigeria will NEVER thrive, but the sharia states tell them that Nigeria is an indivisible country. Whereas the Sharia states had since 1999 drawn the boundaries of their Arewa Islamic Republic but still clutch to dysfunctional Nigeria because of what they see as lucre in the south of Nigeria.
Save the humanity in Nigeria by disruption of the impossible country, Nigeria.

40 years ago decentralization would have been meaningful. What we have today are governors etc. that bought their way to power. Just tell me two distinguished governors you know since 1999 compared to the worst governor of Second Republic. Allowing fiscal autonomy for LG is nil and you expect dividends of democracy from these generation of very corrupt mini dictators

The Words of a Sage and The Reactions of Congealed Minds

It's been a while I learnt my opinion to NL. More often than not, I see a lot of stupid, drab and oft childish reactions - very short on substance or common sense, but very long on stupidity and words.

What Soyinka has said is not for idiots, the slow-to- understand and dimwits to understand. You've got to read it slowly to let it sink.

In a nutshell, he decries the merry-go-round of constitutional reforms, propped up as restructuring by successive governments. He also advocates a decentralisation of responsibilities. In a situation where the centre holds too tightly to resources and responsibilities, humanity suffers, as is evident in Nigeria.

In the rush to quickly comment, many on NL don't read posts well enough to grasp it. So, in a knee-jerk reaction posture, some spew out a lot of nonsense.

This generation doesn't read enough. Hence, it's difficult for its young people to really sieve facts from fiction, substance from shadow.
