In the Bible Jesus made a proverbial illustration using some numbers of virgins.
This story paints the picture of both the serious minded Christians and the playful ones..

Now virgins are those who have kept their self committed to clebacy until marriage. Breaking down this story we see that Jesus termed all of them as Christians.They bad something in common.
The oil lamp
They were all virgins
They were waiting for the bridegroom....

The oil lamp is a daily artefacts used to beam light when night time comes. These virgins are not guest only, they are the only attendees for weeding.Come to think of it, Jesus never mentioned other guests, he only says this virgins are the ones attending.
The bridegroom was an important man and knowingly delayed his visit to know those who will be weary and wear out in strength as a measure for endurance. Endurance is a attitude.
Patients is waiting.
The delay talks about endurance in severe circumstances..
THE OIL AND THE LAMP; The oil is the word of God. Without the oil you will get lost. The oil lightens the lamp, the lamp lightens your path. The oil represent the word of God in you, and the lamp represent the holy spirit to guide you.

THE BRIDEGROOM ARRIVAL; The ominous delay was not intended by the bridegroom. The delay is the consequences ( positive) of unreadiness from the bride. The bridegroom was waiting for the bride till after midnight, not because he is wicked but they lack consecration and concentration.. Remember all the virgins were not first prepared, then some became prepared..
The rest virgins rejected the bridegroom invitation by Thier unpreparedness...

We are not waiting for Jesus...
Jesus is waiting for Us...

When the body is fully mature, he will come.
