Is it possible to fit a CRV 4cylimder engine and transmission into a 2004 honda pilot. What challenges will be encountered ,which engine and will the engine be able to drag the weight of the honda pilot |

SIMPLESOLAR: Is like asking if Okada engine can power a Keke Or corolla engine can drive Highlander. What about the WEIGHT of the vehicles? Solution: Sell the Pilot and buy CRV or Swap the Pilot with anyone willing to exchange CRV. If you put CRV engine into pilot, the SUV will become sluggish and eventually weight of the Pilot will destroy the engine and gear 1 Like |

SIMPLESOLAR: Possible but not worth it. You will change wiring and control modules that one nah headache on its own. Next will be suspension bits, from driveshaft to the propeller as the real time 4wd of the crv is different from the 4wd of the pilot. Then fitting the engine and transmission, engine and transmission seats, exhaust positioning. Then the weight to torque ratio though you can fix that by adding a turbo to the k24 engine. The swap is not financially cheap but can be done just for knowledge sake 2 Likes |
