What authority does he have to ruin their day with this ridiculous postponement?

They are both adults, and I don’t think they need anyone's approval to do what they believe is best for them.

This type of nonsense can only happen here.

Take your partner to the registry and marry her. The certificate issued at the registry is more recognized than that of the church.

When you are getting weded, the person joining you together will use the clause; “…by the authority vested on me as….I hereby pronounce you husband and wife..” It can be done under customary law and the courts. They chose church!

I know lots of legally wedded people who abuse their spouses and there is nothing the pastor who joined them could do about it.
They are both adults and the pastors cannot run their lives for them.

Even orphans most of the times have somebody or some persons in their family....its strange nonody turned up for her or she didn't invite anybody🤔
Also in situations like this, I believe you can inform the Church/ officiating Pastorahead to understand the whole truth and nothing but the truth.. so he can decide early or apply wisdom.

If your parents or family don't believe in a church wedding , it will become obvious

This is not acceptable. How can a Church allowed a couple to go this far without confirming their traditional marriage? If they have done traditional marriage, then whoever that presents her to the Pastor for Church Wedding is inconsequential. Her immediate family could have not make it for a good reason. As much as her family has given her out in marriage traditionally, they are not obligated to participate in any other marriage event thereafter.
