Remember when the air force dropped a bomb on civilians in Kaduna because of shaky intel and imagery? AI could help filter noise.

Also, some companies have developed AI to help locate people stuck in difficult terrain.

Is our government truly serious with its efforts to end banditry? In this age of drones, can they not be used to locate and bomb the camps? There are drones that come cheap and our military can put to use nationwide to tackle banditry and terrorism. What is happening please?

Oga Nigeria does not have any problem with identifying bandits and their hide outs. By the way China already invented a more advanced AI system which it deploys in use to identify Uigurs and Geluk/Tibetan dissidents and other enemies of the state.
Kudos to him for the project but what we need is political will to go after the terrorists and their sponsors.

This is tech we should take incredibly serious because it can even be used in many urban areas to identify individuals according to their profile.

It can be used for vehicle identification as well in case of theft , violations, security etc...

I'm also in the tech field so I know the effort he had put in to achieve this but the truth have to be said, Nigeria government does not need any AI to identify bandits and terrorist. They (the government) are the terrorist and bandits, and I mean this literally. The federal government knows every terrorist, bandits and smugglers that are terrorising Nigeria on a large scale. If the government does not know you as a terrorist then it means you just entered the business or you are inconsequential and are expendable.

I had thought of this same thing. Impossibility is in the mind not in reality. With the current day technology, just anything is possible. I had thought of a technology that could be installed on street lights that can scan through a vehicle and detect the presence of ammunition or weapons and send a feedback to a database with a clearly captured image of the vehicle, including the number plate. This is my other line of thinking. I am putting this in the open space peradventure someone with a deep knowledge on how this could further be developed would pick up the project with an intention to save the lives of the innocent.
