Useless government, why would they freeze people's accounts? What is government's business with citizens bank accounts? Banks are not state owned, banks are cooperate owned and individual businesses. Let the banks deal with their customers how they deem fits. It is like government tell you how to run your shop or telling not to accept your customers money or don't do business with your customer. |

I think is tier 1 accounts that needs linkage. If you provided passport, or utility bill or other serious forms of identification, then ur account is safe as ur account is probably tier-3 accounts. Find out which category ur account belongs to. 1 Like |

The decision makers in this country are not deep thinkers... They just make policies without thinking it through. Why can't you just come up with simple and easy portal for users to link their NIN with their BVN. Other users that are unable to carry this out by themselves can visit either bank or Telecom station outlets... All they just need is a one to one relationship with between your NIN and BVN, which can happen a lot simpler than it is currently. 1 Like |

Efuaye: Same thing with me. I discovered it yesterday evening when I wanted to do transfer to someone. I went to the bank this morning, filled the form, up till now no show and to think that my salary is in that account. It's so frustrating. It's like it's only Zenith Bank that carry the matter for head, restricting people's account as if they want to win award. |

The problem with President Tinubu's administration is that it is taking too many destructive and disruptive actions at the same time, and then closed the land ports - both in the south west and north. He removed subsidy, and the same time floated the Naira. Not long after banned/Restricted BDC, banned Binance and now started blocking people's accounts Added to that he is planning to disable millions of phone lines. And he is travelling all over the world begging investors to come, when the one already here are running away because of all these obstacles. |

I don't know why Nigerian govt just like making some extraneous policies to FRUSTRATE Nigerians. Last year, it's Currency Redesign. The funniest thing was that so many Nigerians supported that useless policy until it later result to chaos and serious hardship. Most of these govt policies don't usually favour Nigerians. Honestly, we're not ready yet... As regards this BVN/NIN linkage. It shouldn't be stressful. Create an online portal. Let everyone input their NIN.. And for those that could have irregularities on their BVN/NIN, create an online portal for modification (DOB, names arrangement, gender and the likes) where individual can have access to. And as regards DOB modification, it should be done once because you can't be born twice.. if there's any exception, then such individual can write a letter as regards that. Is Access Bank not aware of this BVN/NIN linkage? Seems they're not concern! I've not received mail from them. . Eco, UBA, Opay has sent mail. |
