Police Officer Hiding During Kogi Bank Robbery (video) by GistMedia0: 8:59pm On Mar 07
In a daring and brazen attack, a group of notorious armed robbers struck two commercial banks in Anyingba, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, today, Thursday, March 7th. The robbers, armed to the teeth, stormed the banks, sending civilians and bank staff into a panic as they shot sporadically into the air.

However, shocking footage has emerged showing a police officer hiding behind a fence wall during the chaos of the robbery. The video, captured by a bystander, shows the officer crouched down, seemingly unable to confront the armed assailants.

He who fights and runs away... 😂

He hides to fight another day.

No be say na fear. Him just no wan fight today. Make the robbers try am any dey this gallant officer vex.😂

How him go carry sellotaped gun go challenge stainless? 😂 The sellotape is for the magazines. Thank you for the correction. But the magazines were useless in the situation.

If just one unarmed civilian does something now, this man and five other officers will gallantly rain bullets unnecessarily. A faulty korokpe bus being pushed by the passengers didn't stop immediately as the driver trying to start the vehicle begged the police officers at a checkpoint along a sloppy road. The driver was waving at them and the police officers themselves could see young passengers pushing the korokpe while aged passengers were walking slowly. But one police officer released 3 bullets because of the incident. The officer released 1 bullet and the driver stopped immediately by applying brake. When the bus has completely stopped, the officer released 2 more bullets. But guess what! I heard that officers at the same checkpoint (maybe they are the same group that released the 3 bullets) scampered away the day kidnappers attacked travellers on the same route. I heard that forest guards were the ones that came from a-bit-far distance and rescued the travelers.

If na to mount road blocks and harass road users now their nyash go strong

If na to oppress armless civilians and innocent Nigerians dem go get strength, once they face opponents like armed robbers and bandits, dem dey scamper

Ordinarily na police supposed Dey battle bandits and boko haram, but they are too weak to do that, if army dey fight internal insecurities when we are faced with external aggression which I don’t pray for, who would defend this country when the military is almost worn out by internal aggression while the police is nowhere to be found ??

He should remain hidden rather than discover his lifeless body. Underfed police officers, surviving on a 100k salary (if not less) in this Tinubu Nigeria, with three kids and one wife (the responsible ones among them), with numerous family issues. Unfortunately, the care for deceased officers is lacking, as even the federal government delays their entitlements after retirement or death in service.

Tactical cowardliness/retreat, it's called. cheesy

He wouldn't have been able to deter the heavily armed and outnumbering criminals, anyways

Even military dey retreat..
Our God sef carry baby Jesus run and hide..

There's courage and then there's foolishness. If you are not with the support of a police squad it's better to run.

In all, the policeman probably remembers he has kids that will be left uncatered for, if he dies.

What if it is a tactical retreat? Waiting for reinforcement. In that picture, he is alone, should he go alone and confront the robbers?

That posture is not one of someone hiding.

I know our police men no dey try at times but we shouldn't criticise them always. That job is not easy. If recruitment is announced today, many of us won't join but yet we feel comfortable to always condemn those willing to do a job we will not give a second thought to.

God bless and protect our hardworking and honest officers out there.

And to you,

Live your life for God. God hates sin and if you want to please Him, stay away from sin, pray more often and read your Bible.

You have not and can never commit an unpardonable sin but you must return always to ask for mercy and forgiveness.

Prov.28.13 - He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
