Lawmaker representing Wike’s LG resigns, backs Gov Fubara
Hon Akor Prince Nna, the lawmaker who represents the ward of former Governor Nyesom Wike in Obio/Akpor Local Government in the Rivers State House of Assembly, has announced his resignation.

The lawmaker stated that he is backing Governor Siminalayi Fubara in the ongoing power tussle in the state.

He has stepped down from his position as Leader of the House in the Legislative Council.This was detailed in a letter dated March 6 and addressed to the Executive Chairman, Obio/Akpor Legislative Council, Rumu Odomaya, Rivers State.

The letter reads, “Let me begin by thanking the leadership and good people of Ward 9 in particular, and Obio/Akpor Local Government area in general, for this great opportunity to serve as the leader of our dear Local Government Legislative Council.

“Permit me to also thank His Excellency, Chief Bar E. N. Wike, for primarily giving me the opportunity to represent him as a councilor in his ward before ascending to the position of the Leader of the Legislative Council.
