Except if they added the biometric aspect. If not, I don’t see any new development here.
You could apply for passport online before now if you live in the US, but must go to the center for biometric.

same thing am thinking.

The reporting is poor and misleading. Like every other application here (UK), you can apply on your phone, pay and get a date for capturing. so its not like you can apply and do everything on your phone and just sit back and get your passport delivered to your house. you also pay more than 150 pounds for application fee and other bits too.
I really do not understand why we have to do biometrics every time we apply for a new passport. our finger prints do not change. We can send a video to prove life and send a current passport to be uploaded on the new passport. Hope all these will change

Until we see those served without collection of multiple bribes, till then.

Making promises is one thing, fulfilling it is another.

I think the yeye minister is just playing to the gallery without any hopes of fulfilling any promises.

Baba, I applied online, processed, and collected my passport without paying a dime as bribe to any officer.

The Minster is doing well. Let's support him to vent do better.

I applied online, got a date for my capturing, went there and did my thing. The passport was delivered to my home in less a month. So I'm surprised this is being announced here now.

Most Nigerians in diaspora are more interested in getting the passport of their host country than that of Nigeria.

The government should make the process easier for Nigerians living in Nigeria cos they need it more than anything to kick start their Japa plans. Nigerians over there are perfectly fine.

Nigerians abroad need it so they don't have to get expensive visa that cost more than a passport every time they visit home.

This man should stop deceiving Nigerians on social media.

Go to any passport office after all his social media hype and see crowd like stadium being extorted.

Most people hailing this minister are people waiting for 5 years to renew their passport.
I challenge anyone to go to any immigration office especially in the south west and see a clear departure from all what the minister has been saying

Some Nigerians, instead to try to confirm and even give good reports, like Joshua and Caleb,in the Land of Israel, they are ready to rock the boat,as them de vex for Nigeria,as a Country!

Nice one. I drove for 10 hours and had to book hotel last time i went to renew my passport. 😎

Believe them at your own peril. You still have to get to the embassy so they can extort you as usual.

Out here there is no bribe but after paying online you still pay 30 dollars at the embassy for processing fee.
