Lol, Nigerian FG na criminals and debtors.

I grew up in barracks and electricity bills are deducted automatically from salary. It was a shock when NEPA discounted the barracks with the claim they're owning electricity bills for the last past 7 years.... We were wondering what happened to bills they deducted on monthly basis grin

This is the legacy of making power distribution a govt parastatal. If nitel was still in existence, this is also how they would be owed by different agencies

Honestey:
They don finished Nigeria God will judge all these so call leaders. They signed away Nigeria into generational darkness under PDP and Buhari too came and collected oil money in advance under APC.

Solutions To Power Sector:
•Mr Oduntan and his boss Minister of Power is just dribling Nigerians!
-Who allowed the MDAS-Min, Agencies and Department to Owe the DISCOS and the GENCO?
-IS IT INDIVIDUALS NIGERIANS THAT ALLOWED IT OR THAT Corruption kill all the DISCOS and GENCO - as they do paddy- Paddy govt?
-Is it private Nigerians that is Owing the Debt?
Since this govt came to Power- the Minister in charge have been so evasive on Discos, since we can't see him doing anything tangible,as we have more Darkness,e g since yesterday now, till this Morning - No Light!
Why should we be begging for lights in Nigeria?
Ikeja DISCOS is a total failure - because of more darkness is being Created!
We are tired of DISCOS that is given more Darkness,in 21 st Century!
Let go Federal Govt takes over these DISCOS - then Pay them -Off and bring in Foreign -Experts,as we are not getting it,since independence!
We need to calm Prof.Nnaji to show the govt how to succeed in this Power Sector but Politics and Pride would not allow them!
Very Shameful Indeed.

The Ministries, Agencies, and Departments (MDAs) have annual budgets, which includes payment of electricity bills; and funds have been allocated for such each year.
So what has been going on?

Why are the indebted government agencies not metered? metering will go a long way to stop this level indebtness and enhance efficiency, but when the discos prefer crazy billing in the name of estimated bill rather than making sure customers are metered and pay according to consumption. It doesn't make sense when as a metered customer I consumed 2k worth of energy last month while my neighbour on estimated billing with less gadgets than me is billed 13k for same month. Seems the unmetered customers are paying for the discos inefficiency. To meter customers is now a challenge to discos, even if you want to pay to have the meter is still cumbersome and depends on availability.

How come fg is owing 100b and they are not disconnected like they do to other people?
Now Tinubu passed a 24trillion Naira budget and cannot pay 100b debt.Funny country.

In those budget, you will find lines for power and energy costs.
Those ministries get the fund. In fact, it’s amount what they first of all withdraw and share.
They just like impunity. The bills have been accumulating since when dem born NEPA.
I don’t know why NEPA people can’t be disconnecting all those government offices from electric poles.

There’s no ministry that doesn’t have it on record that it has not paid its electricity bills.

The sector below reveals some important and informative facts.

The executive director highlighted the recent payment made by President Bola Tinubu to clear the N342.3 million electricity bill owed by the presidential villa stressing the importance of government agencies, including ministries, in fulfilling their financial obligations to electricity distribution companies.

Tinubu, within ten months, cleared the bill irresponsible past Presidents ( certainly Buhari and maybe Jonathan) racked up over what is likely a considersble length of time given the large amount owed by Aso rock.

This shows Tinubu's credentials as a leader committed to taking responsibility even for the mismanagement and neglect of duty from others.

These are the very important facts and details, negative minds will miss, that shows discerning, intelligently observant and solutions-chasing Nigerians that Tinubu is a president awake to his duty and should therefore be given time and support.
