So police shot a convict that allegded tried to escape, then traders set their own market on fire??
Don’t mind them.
A policeman shot a tout to death, then the usual Hausa/Fulani miscreants who litter the market started burning traders shops in their usual way.
The same way they will kill Christians and burn churches because someone drew a cartoon in Denmark

Abokeys should stay off major markets, they are always quick to destroy other peoples' properties, because they never build or develop anywhere they live.

They should be dealt an Iron hand. Use the opportunity to chase them away from there with force. They should never be found 1km radius around that market or any other markets outside Hausaland.

I love way they respect themselves meekly in the East. They know where they can flex their violent muscles and get away with it.
Re: Angry Traders Set Abuja Market On Fire by Donedeal1(m): 9:00am On Mar 13
Some time I think we need death sentences for most crime in Nigeria
Imagine if such a law breaker had escaped
He will later return to the market
Forming Capone and from there become a big
Time criminal or even terrorist.

You’re an intelligent man.
There are always an army of jobless Hausa Fulani jihadists roving all over Abuja looking for the slightest excuse to deal with the infidels.
That’s what happened yesterday.
The same reason they will start burning churches and killing Christians in the north because a white man in Denmark drew a cartoon

While the police could have applied some restraint and run to capture the criminal without lethal force , those criminals found on that side of the country are very violent . I can guarantee you they didn’t burn the gold section . They would have targeted the shops of other people . Now I understand why the COAS attacked those idiots for El zakzaky. Very violent , uneducated , poverty stricken, useless bunch . And to think that they are fasting
ZakZaky is a Shia.
A typical Shia is well educated and civil.
Of all d Islamic terrorist groups in the world, you can only find Hezbolla which hardly export their own terror.
COAS was merely fighting their normal Shia vs Sunni war

Each time the masses are maltreated by the ruling members they turn around and attack each other and destroy each other's properties. The day Nigerians will begin to hold culprits whether ruling members or not responsible for their vicious acts and not their fellow innocent peers who are suffering the same injustices from the ruling members, that is the day that will mark the beginning of the end of our problems in Nigeria.

That man who was prosecuted and convicted then made attempt to flee is the root cause of the problem. If that security officer had not intervened, it is that security officer that will be severely punished. He will be sacked, prosecuted and jailed in place of that escaped convict.
The security officer could have used a rubber bullet though.
Bulaba's no dey ever talk anything sensible or show human empathy. Mobile court ie small offense, you already have his details and that of his surety in case he escapes but no, you must shoot him and now millions of naira worth of goods have been destroyed just because a police officer doesn't have sense. What a shame to una supporters of evil cool

Will rubber bullet deter them traders from aiding his escape as they have desired? The traders involved should be arrested and jailed for Arson. That is called lawlessness and conspiracy to commit arson . You can't be destroying public properties all in the name of your colleague was shot. Why not apprehend him and hand him over to the court .
Apparently, you’ve never been to Abuja or even the north as a whole

Re: Angry Traders Set Abuja Market On Fire by JoshuaSG: 9:38am On Mar 13
The people I'm seeing in the protest picture are a mixture of tribes and religions. Their united voice and spirit is with no coloration to the victim's tribe or religion but simply because he or she is a member of the market and a Nigerian, or even a foreigner.

But if it were to be a protest against an oppressive politician or government, then and in no time, the tribe and religion of the political leader would be identified, and the proposed protest would die at its proposed stage.

Well, the day is coming and is near when the curse of religious affiliation and ethnicity shall be over, the oppressed masses shall find their voice, and the glory of the nation shall be redeemed from the hands of the political despots.

highest that would have happened if the trigger happy police didn't kill the man is that he would possibly have paid for the crimevin cash . Most mobile court offences are settled ( 95%) by money not prison , so why shoot carelessly .

Foolish people. So setting the market ablaze is the solution?
Re: Angry Traders Set Abuja Market On Fire by omobabaoffa(m): 11:43am On Mar 13
The story was true until you said the traders set the market on fire. it was the police that shot teargas into the shops and lit up the goods in the shops, triggering fire. How can you shoot an alleged criminal in a crowded place like Wuse market. it was even the prison warden attached to the mobile court that shot the guy, Imagine.

See what you are saying, who will give him rubber bullet when he is on duty in this country? The only thing he could have done was to shoot him in the leg, but unfortunately our Nigerian Police are not trained properly to be able to aim and hit a target at ease 🎯

A police officer shot a trader. Aggrieved traders burnt the market.Any sense? Why venting anger on the market instead of the police man?

The story didn't add up. I heard it was one of the tear gas canisters that dropped on the roof of one of the shops that started the fire.
Traders can't set their shops on fire.
