TOPCRUISE:
Pantami the terrorist scammed us. The enforcement measures when he was minister by ensuring Nigerians link NIN to BVN with the excuse of tracking kidnappers and by making it mandatory for Nigerians gather at various NIMC office during the covid 19 pandemic to register their NIN are bogus claim of fighting insecurity
and they claim he is a religious scholar, na dat one pain me pass...
Politicians always using tribe and religion to scam us....
Until we ignore tribe and religion for competence in our sense of judgement, I doubt we will ever get it right in this country

This shows that this government is never prepared after. 8months+
Tinubu will handle economy while Shettima will oversees security.
This is still the same government that approved N160m cars purchases for senators.
Security matter is never a priority to this government.
APC is really working

After buying the tracking device and drones, what about the dirty behaviour of our policemen? Who will ask you to pay money before investigation. The other day my sister was asked to pay 250k for tracking and 400k for petition at FSU lekki.

Wike lies from the gap of his teeth..... Haba wike na.... Unless he's saying section 10 of the DSS isn't operational anymore..... Which is a big fat lie since it's a section connected directly to the NSA office then by proxy the presidency...... DSS is twenty percent physical deterrence and 80% technical.....

Unless he's saying bubu approved an order to close down section 10...... And mind you all voice and data traffic flows through a communication node associated with this section..... Hmmm wike

If FCT does not have it, then Nigeria does not. Later people will start to ask why Nigeria is not moving forward. I maintain this current federal structure will continue to breed corrupt politician. We need atleast the parliamentary system where government and his cabinets selected from the house must defend its policies and actions even before getting approval. Do we ask ourselves why African leaders all shy away from parliamentary system because they are fantastically corrupt

DSS can ask USA to give them records of all your calls and all your WhatsApp chats. With records of all the estimated location of the device (even if it is java phone).

As Edward Snowden exposed.

Mumu, this is about insecurities in the country not not rivers state or food cos that's the only problem of your life, stop taking us backwards. the rate of kidnappings is very alarming in the country, thats what the minister is talking about.

A secondary school student in china can fabricate one for them free of charges. Or they can just ask network providers and USA, Chinese government. MTN and Airtel has sent me Geo specific ads 10 years ago (I have since opted out of ads SMS but assume that tracking technology has improved in the past 10 years).

These are good suggestions. You can put together a proposal and share it with the Police.

Digital ID'S

1-CCTV in all Petrol station and Major areas

2-Anybody getting in a suspicious vehicle should take a picture of the car with the license plates visible. Send the pictures to a police database (Created by the police ) or to a close family members or a group chat.
That way the same car and plates cannot be used twice. Either they have to repaint the car or change the plates. Prevents the one chance kidnappers to use the same vehicle every night.

3-Better still the driver, will text the passenger with his license plates number/phone number, the intending passenger will forward the text to a trusted person. If anything happens to the passenger, the trusted person has the phone number and license plates of the driver. This takes 5 minutes. All drivers should display their numbers for passengers to crosscheck.

4-Make every commercial vehicle carry a barcode sticker. Passengers scan it with their phone before they enter. Scan is uploaded simultaneously, if the person is declared missing. I can tell you the last vehicle there were in under 5 mins.

5-You can geo-fence your phone, If you travel from gwarimpa to wuse everyday. The day you travel outside this zone to Suleja, your phone will automatically send your location texts every 5 mins to a pre-designated number till the phone dies.

There are so many cheap technology, to curb kidnap and one chance, Get a few technology inclined people together, they will come up with a solution in less than 24 hours.

Politicians just like to talk things
wey nor get meaning..

What do they mean by "tracking device"
for this matter❓❓❓

What we need is helicopter squads in
the kidnap endemic areas for rapid response
to distress calls night or day.

Once we have helicopter emergency
response squads in Abuja, Kaduna,
Zamfara and Kaduna, once kidnappers
strike, the squad is notified and they
take off with armed men and Apache style
military helicopter, they can be at the
location within 30 minutes, while a ground
troop can follow up for reinforcement.

So long as we don't change tactics, these
bandits will never stop.

Talk is cheap. If that be the case our air ways will be filled with helicopters. Build walls around our country borders, make education compulsory, create employment, and see crime drop

If you are in Portharcourt and you say anything against the government or a prominent someone in the society, the Police can track you, trace you to Portharcourt and arrest you.

But it's only for criminals that police can not track.

Nigeria?
