Please i need help on the following code which came up after fluid change with type IV fluid
Toyota Camy 04 V6

The car does not engage in D, but reverse except i leave it for some time and retry.
We have changed brain box to no avail.

Was the old oil black with dark particles in it?
Was it smelling burnt?
What was the reason for the fluid change?
The easy and safest way out might be to replace the transmission for peace of mind.

Before changing your automatic transmission fluid (ATF), always go on google and read about it first and see if you need to change it or not, and also make sure you use the recommended type of fluid, because lots of fake abound in the market. 90% of the mechanics in Nigeria are quacks who don’t even read about cars, rather they just do trial and error.
I’d advise you buy a new tokunbo transmission and don’t waste your money on this one. Also, transmission fluid are to be changed once in 10-15yrs or after 150,000km, not every 6 months like your engine oil. The manufacturers manual states this clearly

It is your mechanic that killed the gear. Are you sure they have not mixed something with the type t-iv?

Please change the mechanic

Just be managing the gear like this or change the fluid again with original type t-iv

Hope the fluid is also on the required level

If you have the money replace the transmission

You are a goat! I’m quite sure you’re one of those brainless kazeems that wouldn’t want a problem to be solved once and for all, because you want the customer to keep coming back to your sorry arse! How are the listed codes related to electrical faults? Ole!

Oga, if you like don’t run away from that Kazeem, you’ll cry after he has emptied your pockets. There's no where on this planet where they mix transmission fluid with engine oil,,,,,your car will just turn to scrap! Better read about your car’s transmission online and take it to a competent mechanic. You definitely need a new tokunboh gear

those codes were triggered due to low fluid in the transmission.

After flushing and filling with type iv fluid, the codes went off.
However, the type iv fluid was a fake one.
we tried the Mercon V oil Same thing.

Though my Mech suggested we use the Oando Dex III Oil, but i opted for a replacement instead and intend to rebuild the old one later on.

My Observations, most of the fluids in the market are counterfeits even from recognized stores.

In fact the replaced one, I cant remember the oil that was used, but was Dexron III ATF was written on the body.
for me in as much as it is from the gear box installer, i no send as warranty is involved
