This is going to be serious.

But I believe there must have been a reason for the attack in the first place...perhaps an intentional draw out for the Military for an engagement.

But I just pray none of the innocents are caught in this crossfire.

This peace mission that resulted in the killing of soldiers, I hope it wasn't one of those mission taken on behalf of the owner of Nigeria - Fulanis?
Because I can't imagine federal officers going to settle ethnic conflicts casually with riffles.

nlfpmod:

Nigerian Army

It's better to declare manhunt, while conducting thorough investigation

But burning of property or the village is not proper because innocent people will be affected (including those living in the cities)

Yes this is what should happen, manhunt the killers and protect the civilian lives and properties of the community. Why are they only mentioning okuama community? What about the ijaw community okoloba? How are they so sure the killers are in okuama, 2 communities of ijaw n urhobo are having this crises and only the urhobo community is all over the news for killing soldiers While the troublesome ijaw community okoloba is painted as victim in the media. Its unfair, thorough investigation should be done, why should such high military delegation respond to distress call to rescue just 1 youth? Why weren't the Delta State Police involved first? A lot of questions are demanding answers. We pray it doesn't escalate because other surrounding communities are more ferocious and deadly than okuama itself, we don't wish to see any further anarchy in my peaceful state. Nigerians wishing innocent civilians be killed tell us how many innocent civilians and villages were burnt in the north were soldiers are consistently killed. U don't have respect for the great SS that feeds your poor asses.

Instead of going into the creek and looking for the killers, they are busy burning people's houses in the village and arresting innocent youths of the community.
Something they'll never try in the Northern Nigeria even if 100 Generals are killed there.
