I literally just finished watching all five POTC movies again. I watch them every year and they are new everytime.

Without any iota of doubt, no one one Earth could have played Jack Sparrow better than JD.

As matter of fact, the character Jack Sparrow was a sub in the initial scripting.

When JD came in for the read and put his own twist to the character, the whole movie (Curse of the Black Pearl) had to be redone to accommodate the iconic Captain Jack Sparrow.

Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley would have bored us with their romance, as they where initially top billed.
