The Nigeria labour Congress NLC has urged the federal government to speedily pay up outstanding salaries of members of the non academic staff Union of educational(NASU)and Associated Institutions and senior staff association of Nigerian universities (SSANU).
A statement by NLC President, Joe Ajaero, yesterday advised the federal government not to take for granted the maturity of the unions, stating further that there is no credible reason or explanations for withholding the fund in the first place.
Mr Ajaero concluded that this was coming at a time the confidence was being restored to the public universities.
