I've always believed that, the moment CITIZENS start to show concern in politics by ensuring they hold LOCAL GOVERNMENT to account for and show responsiveness to the development needed in their LG WHILE LOCAL GOVERNMENTs in turn go after STATE GOVTs, then that development we all want will reach everyone.

Many Nigerians don't focus on local governments, instead they shift to the STATE & FEDERAL. The government that can hear your cry first is the LOCAL GOVT. They have nowhere to hide.

Once we start questioning the LGs, they will make their demands known to the states and give account of whatever allocation they get because they know angry people are waiting for them at home but obviously nobody is ready to do their part. Nigerians no get time and that's where the problem starts from. God bless Nigeria.

The day Nigerians channel their energy of criticism and holding government accountable to the state governors, that will be the day Nigerians will be liberated, dividends of democracy will start getting to all it's citizenry, that's when our countries journey from a frontier economy to a developing economy begins.
The Statee are extremely pampered and overlooked by Nigerians, civil organizations and the media houses.
But our development actually lies in the State. Imagine our States competing in infrastructure like Abuja because of commitment by our governors, the Grass become Green for all of Us.

Ogun state receives one of the lowest in the country. Yet pays so much in VAT.
The sharing formula is a scam.

BTW, the South south states of Akwa Ibom, Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers are cashing out big big. I hope they hold their Governors to account.

Rivers and Akwa-Ibom are doing well even before now. But you see Delta and Bayelsa? Ekiti state is better than those two. The only business they have in those states is politics.

God Bless President Bola Tinubu, he has done his part, revenue accruable to the three tiers have increased by 70%✓

It is now the responsibilities of the Governors to perform and stop making unnecessary excuses.

Citizens also should monitor their governors and call for accountability
But some still alleged that subsidy is still being paid on fuel...

I'm always surprised to see Delta state earning the highest revenue yet there's little development on ground.
Absolutely nothing to justify the revenues

On Twitter yesterday, your state Ogun lost out completely in the SW.

Convert the useless billions of hairs into Dollars and let's see something.

You people lack the knowledge that hundreds of millions shared yesterday as FAST had more value than the useless billions of naira shared today.

See Balyelsa N22.8bn, Delta N38bn. Wow!

But what are most Governors doing with such huge monthly allocations eh.

Only a few governors we can actually point to.

We truly need to hold our governors accoutable. Enough of focus at Centre

They ate squandering it while paying some Nairaland rats to incite their people against hausas fulani and yorubas by telling them they are using their oil money to develop Lagos and Abuja.

Those two states and akwaibom often receive more from FG than Lagos and FCT

Aside sharing allocation to governors, what else is expected of a president? And since most state governors are mismanaging the funds, what can a president do to halt this trend?

in as much the People have much access to the monthly FAAC sharing to all the 36 states on monthly basis, Nigeria people will be able to ask their governors what they have done in their various States, LG and communities. As far as I’m concerned, Nigeria governors must be questioned on how they spent their money on monthly basis.

He has done incredibly well but the challenge is really with insensitivity on the parts of sub national government. Can you imagine the slow pace of developing at various states with the significant increase in allocation from the federation account?

Imagine Delta receiving a whooping 38.1bn and Bayelsa receiving 22.8bn, but when you go to those two states they are like jungles, nothing to justify the bogus federal allocation.
