Obazee is a criminal.
This same man was indicted during the regime of Buhari.
Years down the line, his investigation period would be found to be another avenue for him to loot the treasury.
Indicted for what exactly?

Is Nigeria now America?
Minimum wage in USA for a day is minimum wage for a month in Nigeria ($15/hr x 8 hours x N1500/$1) NGN160,000
Rent for a week in USA is rent for a year in Nigeria ($500/wk @N1500/$1 x 4 weeks = N3,000,000
We musn't compare and base everything with the US. Your account wont balance.

And what exactly are you doing that you want other "people to go and verify how much his counterpart in the US will collect..."?
It's not that you are busy or even have anything better to do apart from NL and/or faffing around the neighborhood that you can't do this on behalf of everyone. Put your money where your mouth is.
Don't mind the fools.
Flight and hotel bills in us would be at least 3times what it is in Nigeria.
Staff that are employed in the us would be earning about 10times what their counterparts would be earning.
So if an investigator would do the job with $1.3m in the US,then it should be about $300-500k equivalent in Nigeria.
I repeat Obazee is a criminal. He worked to an already prepared answer.
A man that said Emefiele and former SGF of the Federation were seen carrying boxes of money from the CBN vault is not only a clown, but an incompetent one at that.

i no know wetin concern Obazee with church business at that time. but that does not make him a criminal

MT:

Thank you so much.

Obazee advised the FG at that time to ensure that General Overseers of churches were not allowed to hand over to their children and they should retire after spending certain years as GO.

It was then Baba Adeboye retired as the GO of Redeemed Church Nigeria and handed over to Pastor Joshua Obayemi.

Where is Pastor Joshua Obayemi now?

Who is still the GO of RCCG Nigeria as we speak?

The VP then, who was a RCCG member, might have pulled the string that got Obazee sacked then.

And to think that guy was commanding so much power in the house that time.
He was really doing well for himself that period, well respected, I really liked him.

It was a pity that he fell for the set up.

He fell and has ever since remained fallen..
Chaii what a great fall.

The guy was a potential Kano state governor going by his rising profile then.

In politics, there are landmines on your way at all times. The same landmine has sent Betty Edu into possible oblivion now.

People should go and verify how much his counterpart in the US will collect for a special detailed investigation like this. Roughly $1.3m which I still consider reasonable.
My only concern is how classified govt letters and documents especially in the civil service get leaked into public easily. There should be a special penalty for this. Someone needs to be made a scapegoat.
Someone desperately wants to halt the investigation. Imagine claiming he bugged IG's phone.

Concerned CBN officials shared a copy of the letter with SaharaReporters and questioned the rationale behind the request when the apex bank had already provided for such activities.

One official said, ''The duplication of efforts raises concerns about potential redundancy and misallocation of resources.''

The stubborn man who clipped the wings of pa Adeboye has gotten several vital documents and information from Emefiele which he's willing to trade off for cash! He wasn't fully loyal to Asiwaju or willing to keep quiet after learning some stuffs.

They can pinned a damning allegations on him, so they're just trying to box him from the shadows!

Emefiele gave him several bullets to use and they're afraid if they push Jim too hard he will squeak some uncomfortable truth's!

Nigeria is a funniest country. The hunter will always become hunted. The lead will always become the follower.

Obazee did a good job by recovering billions of naira and dollars. Maybe he touched untouchable, the game changed. The hen that lays a golden egg will be sold.

Very funny indeed

2b naira is not too costly to investigate CBN. Even he recovered far more than 2b naira. Nawaoo

I’m surprised you can’t see the effort of some corrupt elements within the CBN hierarchy trying to frustrate the investigation going on. That’s why the federal government is working on firing all the directors that worked with Emefiele… their concerns bother around privacy and information governance. However, if it’s for the good of the public privacy can be bridged…

The truth is that the CBN cannot fund an investigation that is being done on the CBN.
Justifying the over N2b request is another matter all together.
The CBN needs to stop allocating funds to the investigation in its budget.

that was just an excuse to remove him. now if you say it is because of the Redeem church issue, does that make him a criminal as he is being labelled every time?

the man exposed the rot at CBN then... the north did not like him for it. buhari kitchen cabinet wanted him out so they can loot the place dry. as you can see so far, how buhari appointees are still being caught stealing humongous billions of money.

What rot at CBN did he expose? Na wa for una o

but do you honestly think anyone he'd investigate will just sit back & wait for him to catch them if they could get rid of him, wouldn't they do it?
His investigation has led to nothing substantial. Just noise. The highest they could get so far was claiming Emefiele forged Buhari's signature for mere $6m.
How does that even make sense to anyone
He's doing something else underneath which is why he's getting bad press. Realise that most of the accusations are not about his past but his present job

I dont see anything wrong so far.

The guy did not steal any money.

He requested to be paid a professional service fee. So, what was wrong in that?

Nigerians must learn to pay professionals their true worth. I have seen a case where an engineer spent just 2 minutes to fix a problem and he demanded for 10k. The client was arguing that how many minutes did he spend on the job, He was a professional for crying out and he charged what he considered commensurate.

The risk to his life and that of his children and his staff should be considered too. I would not mind paying 2 billion to block a leakage or recover 200 billion.

Corrupt CBN staff wants to taint the guy. If CBN staff had been effective in their jobs, there would not be a need to bring Obazee.

Corruption is codedly fighting back as usual.

Off point

did he or did he not ask for N2b?

Simple yes or no
