generation! We experienced drastic technological transformation.We're d last generation
dat were allowed 2 play in d street.We were
d 1st 2 play video games,watch cartoons in TVs wit no color en went 2
amusement parks.
We witnessed d use of vinyl records.We Learned ao 2
program d VCR b4 anyone else.We were d last 2 record(Dub)songs off the radio on cassettes
en we are d pioneers of walkmans.We were d ones dat last danced disco.We ushered in d mass use of personal computers,CDs,e-mail en chatrooms.We read meaningful en entertaining books in elementry schools.
We play
ed with-Atari, ten-ten,boju-boju,
statue,Nintendo(mario,contra,mortal combat etc) en believed dat d Internet
would be a free world.We are d
generation of d Thunder Cats,Simbad,d
Transformers,Scooby doo,voltron,Super
Ted,Willi willi,G.I. JOE,Zebrudaya,checkmate etc.
We wore coca-cola jeans.We traveled in cars without seat belts or air-
bags.Witnessed Beetles,504,Datsuns as fancy cars.Rode our
bicycles down d road without brakes.Lived without cell phones bt old land dial-phones(4 d rich).
We nvr had phones but still kept in touch.
We knew we post-mail was relevant.We did not av Play stations,99
television stations,rather we waited till
4pm for Nta.
Had no flat screens,
surround sound,mp3s,iPods,computers
en d Internet,but nevertheless we
had a GREAT Time listening to Fela,Victor Uwaifo,Oliver de coke,Sunny Ade,Shina peters,Barrister,Majek fashek,Funmi Adams,little tosin Jegede etc.via old-skool media players.
If u were born in dis generation(80s),den u've enjoyed best of bot worlds(old skool/analogue age & new skool/computer age).
